Hey Resocha, any rumblings in your operation about code shares, et al with Mesa in HI?

You are if you are disagreeing with the "JO's BUSTED!" theme of this thread.

You don't seem to have any idea what I'm saying...

To disagree with you is not to agree with JO!

Who is blaming the regional pilots for anything?????

I wasn't the one who interjected politics, but I am the one who points out how irrelevant they are here.
Do you read any of the posts on this thread, or just the title and the last posting?

My political comment was in reply to comments here, and I might add elsewhere, that blame the state of other regionals on Mesa's pilots. Would you like me to quote some of them for you?

The post I was replying to asked me what the reasons I thought the regionals sucked. I provided various, including one being the political climate in our country which has rendered unions almost powerless.

Politics are not irrelevant, and certainly not irrelevant to the economics of this country, which is relevant to why the regionals suck.

By the way, no matter how much money you make, you are still a laborer. If you think the republicans give a crap about you, you go ahead and keep voting for them, and get your little hundred dollar tax cut, but don't complain about your pension going away, your salary cuts, bankruptcies, furlough, or the fact ALPA is powerless to help you, since your party has done nothing to help labor in any of these areas.

Besides, if politics are irrelevant, then why did you bother to offer an arguement against dems?

The unions arent powerless in Hawaii.

Wow, that's a jumbled mess to wade through.

1. The economy is cranking, the Dow is now over 11K, unemployment near all-time lows. This is a great economy right now by any quantitative measure.

2. Yucaipa's owner is a Democrat, Tom Daschel's wife is a lobbyist for the airline industry. It goes both ways and NO I am not "labor". Each industry is different. I am a union member, but we are completley separate. What UAW has no bearing on what happens to me as a pilot.

3. No, it's a matter of $1,000's. Not a hundred. And oh yeah, as a military officer I take great offense to what the democrats say and believe about my country and President.

4. I am not against regional pilots, I once was one. Idiotic union policies when RJ's first came online have caused us to have to deal with them now. Companys like Mesa, et. al. are getting the profits that should have been paid to mainline operators (pilots) if there had been some foresight on pilot's part.

5. I was trying to reign this thread in and point out that the purpose for people like me to jump into the fray was because of the opposition to HA's suit. Additionally, noone here or anywhere has explained the economics of how Mesa can possibly make money in Hawaii with 50-80 seat planes.

JO is gonna hand out ski-masks and pistols. (The Ryan International Retirement plan)

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but...

It took JAL about a decade to finally to agree to join One World. If there are any rumblings about a code with any Hawaiian carriers, we'll know in about 10 years.

Ask flyinpapayan767 or Vanmandingo. It would sure take a lot of 208's to fly a feed for the whale.

Mesa is in a world of trouble now. The lawsuit with HAL is just the tip of the iceberg I suspect. They will start either losing codeshares or their major airline "partners" will begin to make them pay for their own fuel and the 50 seat RJ will soon become the Beech 1900 of the new millenium. They'll be excellent shade makers in the desert. They sure made a lot of people miserable while they were here, but it will be so nice to see them GONE FOR GOOD. ADIOS MESA!

JO admitted he stole some cookies from the cookie jar. Now he's about to be spanked. Maybe he's into that...

In any case, I say we welcome Mesa to Hawaii, watch them clutter the ramp space and then bid them a fond aloha within 2 years when they fold their tents and join Discovery, Mahalo and Mid-Pac.

B/C they know there is no case here. And HAL is looking down the road with one last chance to stop the jugernaut of Mesa from crushing all your jobs.

Hi, it's Dave!

It is very refreshing to see, that in spite of the difficult economic challenges that face us, there are men of courage, like Jon Ornstein, willing to make bold moves to help the airline industry transform itself into a model that will yeild future success. I am also encouraged that sflax, Frank Lorenzo, and others also share the same vision that Jon and I do.

Mesa will clearly stand the test of time. When Jet Blue goes out of business in 9 years and 11 months, maybe a few of their pilots will be fortunate enough to start a new and rewarding career at Mesa.

O.K....

Mesa will never make it in the islands.

I give them 6 months if they ever start anyway.

if he even makes it that far! JO is acting more and more like the surfer in the video who got knocks and kept coming back for more.

It's people like Dave (i like to talk to hear my head rattle) Siegel and J.O. that give Jews a bad rap.

Suck it Dave!!!

, the mainline pilots manipulate your contract through scope, the republicans, who are anti-labor, (which is anti-you,) are in power and running a government that is pro-business. s.
As an airline pilot making $100-$200K a year, the democrats are anti-ME. See I am the rich that "the tax cuts are for". Democrats think that they own my paycheck and whatever I keep I should be grateful for. That I find most offensive. Whatever has happened at HA has had nothing to do with Dem vs. Rep. It is ironic that the owner of Yucaipa is a huge democrat friend and contributor. Why did they cut the pensions if it is republicans who are the enemy. Oh, that's right you simpleton, IT's NOT A FU**ING POLITICAL ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/quote]

You couldn't be wronger, you get paid by the hour you are labor. Nothing more nothing less, those tax cuts are for people who won't even fly on one of your crappy cattle car planes, thats what the Gulfstream of Falcon is for. You are just a "public transportation" driver, just ask GWB's longtime family friend and aviation advisor, frank (sheiteater) lorenzo. It is far more political than you will ever realize!
PBR

Capitalism knows not whether you get your money hourly or quarterly, just how much, but the democrats who decry "tax cuts for the rich" are attacking me.

You do not know me or my financial situation. I'm a capitalist, fiscal conservative, Navy Officer, and airline pilot. Democrats do not share my values. You can vote for whoever you like.
