At least John Kerry pays for all of his charter flights with campaign donations.

Bush on the other hand uses Air Force One for his personal campaign trips. Guess who pays for this? Yep...you and me.

NO more Bu**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** in 2004!!

Gee just like every other president... whats your point?

And this is different from the Impeached Rapist campaigning in 1996, how? Or different from Gore using Air Force 2 in 2000, how?

Clinton spent more time "offshore" touring the world than any other President in history. How did he get there? Air Force One. Who paid for it? We did!

Everybody, take your right and left wing politics elsewhere. Last time I checked this board was about the airline biz. Whatever I read on this board will have nothing to do with how I vote.

WHAT MACH ZERO SAID

Flightinfo.com - Majors - interview:
At least that was what I thought the header displayed. Shut your political pie-hole and let people exchange info about major airline interview stuff here. MODERATOR PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD!!!

Ok folks:

Here aresome facts:

1.. The Republican National Party pays approximately $56K an Hour for AF One when the President goes to a political campaign stop.

2. The RNC also pays for the use of some phones in AF One at the rate of $8 a minute.

There are definite separations of official business and political business.

WTF OVER?

MODERATOR PLEASE ERASE THIS THREAD. I say again, MODERATOR PLEASE ERASE THIS THREAD! C'mon people, this is an interview forum; take your political B.S. elsewhere. There is plenty of room on CNN or FOX's website for this kind of babble.

What?

Somebody please erase Leroy! I say again, please erase Leroy! There, I feel better now. :D

OK...let's get back on topic. It's a good idea not to discuss politics at a job interview. However, politics directly affects almost everything in the airline business including fuel prices, cabotage, union representation, international flying, the economy and an endless list of other pertinent issues. The policies of a particular Presidential administration can directly affect our jobs and the decisions we make regarding where to seek employment or even to stay in the profession. Personally, I enjoy taking good natured jabs at politicians on both sides of the aisle. Hopefully, Leroy is not on the panel at my next interview.

No Leroy will not be on the panel on your next interview. And if I were, I'm pretty sure I would NOT be asking you questions about your political beliefs. As far as I (and I would suspect, most of the professional pilots in America) am concerned, those viewpoints, while quite important, are irrelevant in regard to your career as a professional pilot and as a prospective member of any airline. I am no lawyer, but I would suspect it would be illegal to base hiring preferences on political views. My point here is, Flightinfo.com interview board is not the place to engage in (often uninformed, useless) political banter and public-office-holder bashing.

Just as I don't highly regard the political opinions of my favorite rock star or Hollywood figure, I don't need to read the personal views of a mouthy flamebaiter on a forum designed to help people interview successfully for an airline career. If I did, I'm sure I could find a website dedicated solely to allowing forum members to bash eachothers' political ideas.

Among other charter Airlines, Miami Air is involved with the Kerry campaign. We flew him around in Feb. and I believe he's on the books for the near future. We were also did the Bush-Cheney campaign. Looks like our boss has gone Democrat! :)

Your Wrong Pura Vida

Bush does not get a free ride. As someone who worked in the business I can tell you that all campaign trips are paid for from donations. There is always a lot of debate about this. It really just isn't fact. The White House does the scheduling and the Air Force sends them a bill after the flight.

There is now other way to do the mission. The number of people involved in moving the "MAN" is huge and would be even more costly if it was accomplished on civilian aircraft.

By the way Congress changed the scheduling procedures during the Clinton administration to end the abuses that they initiated. Hope this eases your stress level a little, but judging by your post I am sure you don't believe a word I have writtten.
