I'll bet they are more successful than Dayjet given that Las Vegas is in the mix as a hub. I understand they'll be covering CA,AZ,UT, and NV. Looks like a cool airplane for the missions, saw a mockup in BFI at Clay Lacy. Anyone have any more new details?
Whats the pay? When does this kick off? 09? 10?

Looked like Feb of 09 but they are accepting resumes. First pilots will probably be hired at the end of 08 I assume.

It's an interesting model. Jetsuite would pay owners at least $25K montly to use their airplane during idle time for charter while providing all overhead and maintence expenses. Meanwhile, the owners would keep the depreciation expense (reduces taxable income). In other words, the combination of that monthly fee and the depreciation expense would likely cover any debt service and the airplane pays for itself while the owner (and others) get to fly around in it. You could argue that aircraft management companies provide the same services but I believe owners would have to pay those management companies for those management services - right? Whereas Jetsuite covers all of those services.

I thought I read that Jetsuite was looking for pilots based out of PHX, LAX (Hawthorne) and LAS. It's a West Coast operation (at least initially).

Here's the Phenom 100 flight deck:

and the aircraft itself:

It looks like it would be fun to fly and, with its roughly 1,100 mile range, you wouldn't get flat a$$ flying it...

Well, any more news about 'em? Anyone hear anything more than a "thank you" email?

that being said and with over 100 aircraft i truely believe they will fail (not to be a pessimist) but it will not be profitable especially with todays economy.

i will give them a hand for not using the p.o.s. eclipse! the phenom is kick a$$ and embraer is proven with tons of support.
