Those work rules are still light years better than CAL! I guess that's just more ammo for us in contract negotiations, FUPM!!! :uzi:
 
Not really - Night override is only for the flight time between 1 and 5 am. So if you do an Island turn 1/2 of the first leg and none of the second is covered by the Night Rig.

International override is only for one city pair.

Yehhhh the appearance of industry average.

I went back and reread it. You're half right (and I was half wrong). If it's scheduled, you get the rig for the whole leg (not the whole duty period). OTOH, if it's not scheduled you are correct that you only get paid for the protion that touched 0100-0500.

Do most folks go over the 78 hour mark in a given month these days? Are there still lines running in the high 80's/low 90's. Seems like that might be a slight difference, going from 70 to 78 pay wise. With the pay increase make up for it?
 
That's good news on the new rates. It still boggles my mind that Republic guys are making almost half that to fly the same equipment. What a world we live in.

Get used to it. There will always be airlines that pay less. When Jetblue started up, they pilots at Jetblue were making less than half what the legacy pilots were making. Now, Jetblue pays more than some of the legacies. What a world we live in.

Their contract was signed in 2003, before there was a "Republic Airlines" or a 51+ seat airplane flown by a pilot on the CHQ Master Seniority List.

And their 175/190 CA rates are just as good (actually better by 2% for most years) than Air Wisconsin's 2003 concessionary rates for the B146, the -300 variety of which had 100 seats. And ARW flew the B146 until Easter 2006, with little whining or gnashing of teeth about "lowering the bar".

Kudos to Jetblue for bringing up their E190 pay, but its not really a fair comparison to evaluate payrates negotiated/approved a couple months ago with RAH's rates that were negotiated six years ago, without a single E-Jet on order, let alone on property.

Nobody is losing pay. The rates are such that you still get paid more even with the premium pay trigger being raised to 78. You don't get as much as the percentage difference in the pay rates though. It has been a bone of contention, you might say.

This is a slow time of year so most lines are built in the 70's and low 80's. When it gets busier, many pilots bid for numbers in the 80's and 90's. It varies by equipment, seat, and base.
