With your 50 seat pay rates for a 90 seat jet, 5 year-at-a-time employment contracts and cabin cleaning duties, etc...what makes you so much better at this game than those "IAH guys" that you speak of?

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

190 pay is better than 50-seat pay at any regional that I know of and will get better shortly. If you bring up the 5-year contract, you really don't know what it is so it's not worth talking to you about it. See above for the cabin cleaning duties. Are you saying that working at B6 puts you into that "IAH guys" category??

Do us all a favor and stop bringing up your cabin cleaning duties. Enoulgh, alright?

It's not the JB folks who keep brining it up. We just try to enlighten those who do as to why we help out in the back.

Saw the -8 time, wondering if you did anytime @PDT? I will be at the open house. Much thanks to you blue guys for posting the info for the rest of us!

Hello Blue Pilots,

Pass the word…JetBlue Pilot Open House – December 12, 2006 – Orlando Support Center

In preparation for 2007 Interviews, we are hosting an Open House (free job fair) on December 12, 2006 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. on the campus of our Orlando Support Center.

The Open House will give our Flight Ops, Training and Recruitment Leadership Team an opportunity to share information pertinent to each area of the job, while our Recruiters will meet one-on-one with candidates and review resumes. We will also showcase the campus with tours provided by Flt Ops Training.

Please pass this information along to Pilots you know that would embrace the JetBlue culture and are enthusiastic about joining our Team. Best of all, it’s a commuter friendly event, so business casual attire is requested.

An e-flyer is attached for you to use as an invitation and it contains specific details about the event.

Could be another sign of the growing world wide pilot shortage, got to screen more to get the same quality cut of a year ago. Hiring boom is coming next year. Get ready.

Jet - I woudln't give instructorclown the time of day. He's a flamer, pure a simple. The brain - mouth (or in this case, keyboard) interconnect has been severed for some time. He's on a slow rolling train to ensuring he gets enough enemies on here to get black balled at every major carrier from Memphis to Hong Kong.

Best of luck at Jblue - congrats on the 190 rates coming up.

Have the new 190 rates been released?

SWA recently raised their PIC requirements. No, no shortage yet. And if one eventually comes, I hope we use it as an opportunity to raise the bar of this profession. You know, more than the proverbial 100K:)
