Briefly talking to a JetBlue captain one day in the airport, he mentioned job fairs JetBlue hosts in Orlando. I have tried searching the company website and ran a search on yahoo, but had no luck in finding out any information. Can anyone tell me if they still host these job fairs and where I can locate any information on the next fair? Thank you in advance for any reponses..

The min. qual. should say that if you have no turbojet time please attend, but don't really expect to get called for an interview.........

Same question... The "ad" with the info on May 12 open house was great, but where can we find info on future open houses?!

As the info becomes available. The May 12th fair is the only one scheduled thus far. You may expect one or two more over the summer.

Just FYI

Talked with Dean a few days ago and he mentioned if you have someone that is interested in B6 have them go to the Open house. It's the best way to get hired right now. They are really "interviewing" you when you are there.

good luck

According to pilots town hall meeting yesterday in MCO, the attrition slowdown and the projected growth of 5% will result in a lower number of new hires this year to 200-250 down from over 300+. Whether you meet the minimums or not, go to the open house. It will give you an insight into Jetblue and see if we're the airline for you. Minimums were lowered recently to enable the People Dept to get a more diverse group to look at. The actual new-hires are still quite competitive in hours and experience.

Be careful a new hire will never see A320 Captain

2000 pilots on prop.

Roughly 1100 is a captain

900 upgrades/7.5 per plane

=120 new planes. Rate B6 is going=eternity

FWIW
