JetBlue posted operating revenues of 1.2 Billion in 2004 and 1.7 Billion in 2005. 2006 will be over 2 Billion. By the definition in your link to the DOT site, JetBlue is a major airline. American Eagle, ExpressJet, and SkyWest are also now classified as Major airlines based upon that DOT definition. That link is a little outdated buddy. Sorry to prove your point wrong. Here is the link to the JetBlue 2005 annual report with the financial info on operating revenue.

http://library.corporate-ir.net/library/13/131/131045/items/211505/05ar.pdf

I knew it was old data when AMERICA WEST was listed as a separate airline.

People just love to find things wrong with JetBlue, even if they have to make it up.

The link was from 2004 and clearly lists JetBlue as a regional even with 1.2 billion in revenues. The other airlines listed as "regionals" also have more than 1 billion in revenues yet there they are. JetBlue is not a major airline they are a regional/LCC.

Scroll up buddy and look at your own post of that link. JetBlue is clearly in the National category. It is clearly not listed as a regional and you are probably the only person on this site that would put JetBlue in the "regional" category. Why the heck are we even discussing this in the first place? Does it really matter what the DOT classifies JetBlue as? The fact is that JetBlue will bring in over 2 Billion this year in revenue, they fly more passenger up and down the East coast than any other carrier, and DAL wishes that JetBlue would never have happned.

The regional reference was a mistake. I meant to say national. As far as JetBlue flying more passengers up and down the east coast than anyone else I think you need to recheck you numbers. The two largest players on the east coast are USAirways and Delta. According to JetBlue’s website they have 85 A320. Delta has 136 MD88 in revenue service never mind all of the other aircraft types. Yes Delta probably does wish JetBlue had never happened.

For the record, we'll have more than 100 A320's this year. And yeah, stop hijacking the thread.

You had better call you company and let them know that their website is wrong because it says you have 85 A320s.

p.s. I will stop "hijacking" the thread when you take it to the National/LCC board where it belongs. JetBlue is not a major....I though we already covered this?!?!

Guys, this thread is not about JetBlue being a major or national or LCC, its about the interviews in FEB. Please stop the thread hijacking and get the thread back on track!!

No call this week. groan. Another lost chance to get off the nwa craphole....

Was the class that just started for the Bus, or the 190. Thanks

16 A-320 and I think 8 E-190 spots in the Jan 3rd class. I think the next class that starts on the 17th has 16 A-320 spots and 10 E-190 spots scheduled. It looks like Jan will end up with about 70 newhires total. I believe that the numbers are suppose to be around 24 newhires every two weeks through Apr. After that it's anyones guess right now.

...grr...wish I could've made that open house. Had to work.

Couldn't trade...couldn't call in sick...

Thanks Horn,
That was needed......
I was expecting to see the "my dad can beat your dad up" comment again or something equally lame......
Thanks for keeping this place semi-sane,
Capt.Z

Agreed. Thanks, Longhorn.

Ok, new week - new calls. Maybe this is the week for corporate/military guys and gals to get the call. Sound off!

I like that nice positive attitude..........
(with that kind of thinking you'll be a shoe in for aceing the interview)
Lets hold off on my call until late tomorrow afternoon when I get home from this trip!
:-)

Good Luck Spaz,
Capt.Z

PS: Sorry could not resist altering your quote.......

I am guessing most of those classes are already full from the November interviews and poolies.

Calls anyone?

I think there were 70 poolies holding out for the 320 prior to the Nov interviews. There is no longer a choice for AC so I would guess that the poolies and Nov interivewees would fill up these slots. If you interview in Feb, you most likely won't here for about 6 weeks at the earliest so that would put you at about mid march. There may be a select few that get a late march slot, but most of the Feb guys will probably fill classes from April to June. I hear that the classes will look about the same in April and May as they do for the first quarter.

A friend of mine has a Feb interview. He said the recruitment folks asked if they could start the background check prior to the interview presumably to shorten the time between interview and start date.

Much Thanks for those numbers CRJ pilot.......

Somebody asked earlier about the next days for interviews. My Feb bid will be due in a few days and I'd like to bid off for any anticipated interview dates......... Anybody in the know???I guess it still looks bad if you use a sick call to interview at another airline these days right?Ms. V.Kay has been very friendly coresponding via email but I don't want to push my luck and come right out asking,"Hey when will you be making more calls? I figure that would not be very cool either...........Some body must know something right????

If we stay true to form we'll be interviewing every other month. I'd plan on the 1st week of April for the next round of interviews.
