Dude... the seniority calculator spells it out. There are lower seniority people that are reporting the calculator says 19-20 years to upgrade when retirement is the sole source of attrition.

I'm making nothing up. Here is some simple math. We have about 2200 pilots. How long will it take for this young pilot group to retire 1100 pilots so that "tail end Charlie" moves up to the 50% mark?

So the number you use to make your point
that JetBlue is so bad is based solely on retirements, that means a totally
stagnent JetBlue. ( hard to survive like that)

What if we got all the planes in the order book and didn't return any?
What is the number?
What if all the guys here that are so unhappy leave for delta or whoever?
We can play word games all day long.
Are there problems? Yes, but it does not help your argument
to make stuff up .....how many people really think it will be a 20 year upgrade
At JetBlue ?
Look, like I said there are enough reasons to vote union but these types
of posts do not help.

Really? You're not even remotely believable.

Really?

No regional CA is going to work for Jetblue.

No ex-military will come to jetblue.

I have seen the data. The pool of candidates in slim - very slim. That is reality hitting the road - Dumba$$

That leaves Comair and they would be crazy to take another dead end job at the bottom of jetblue's list at this point and time in industry unless they can't find another job outside of aviation. If they can find another job in aviation they will not be coming to jetblue.

If someone is a regional FO this place will kill you career if you don't have the minimums for SWA, DAL, UAL, FedEx, HAL etc.

I left my last job as a regional captain and I am 309% happy with my decision. And it was not comair.

If you blowhards haven't left yet, its because you are not hire-able by a real airline or you are full of $hhitttt.

I also know many RJ captains who have begged for help getting on here.

If the pool of applicants was so thin, they would leave the application window open for more than 30 seconds at a time...

No growth? No attrition? Really?

Any other lies or distortions?

Well if you saw the "data" I guess there is nothing left to say.........

Sure there is: "Enjoy Kew for the next 3 years on reserve and 8 to 10 days at home".

Oh one more thang.

If AMR as acquires B6 welcome back to Republic Mr E190 seat filler.

Why anyone would take that seat at this time in the industry with a lame PEA is beyond comprehension.

But hey it's your career. "do it".

I live in base so I usually enjoy about 25 nights at home. I came from a regional where I lived in base and got about 11 nights at home. I'm not sure about the 190, but on the 320 the quality of life I enjoy here is WAY better than at the regional I came from. Ill make more money my second year, I have a better quality of life, the trips are better, overnights are better, I'm treated better, I fly nicer equipment, and as unstable as this place can be at least we sell our own tickets. I know A LOT of regional captains who would love to be here. With all that being said, YES, this place needs improvements. The retirement and health benefits SUCK! I will definitely vote for a union given the chance. This is my honest opinion of JetBlue.

3 years on reserve... dude you are not helping. NO fo will spend 3 years on reserve here, wont happen. MAYBE 3 years of reserve if you are a 1600 number and took an upgrade. No doubt we need representation, but the way some of you portrey this place as comparable to the qol of a turkish prison inmate is disingenous at best. This place is better then some, worse then some, and could be a LOT better if we vote to organize.

Agreed that his assessment is a bit much. However....

I'm here over 5 years and I won't break 1000 on the list for another 15 years.

That's reality. Something to consider for anyone considering JetBlue.

20 years to break 1000. And that's for someone hired over 5 years ago.
