I do believe that we have been able to overcome the pitfalls of the required hiring by keeping many of those out of the Captains seat. We have fired a few and will probably fire a few more that don't make it. However, your argument was about retirement and how bad the UAL retirees were having it. Yet even you pointed out that one has a hangar and I would suppose he keeps an airplane in this hangar. You just pointed to the typical guy that also wants his cake and eat it too. If you have not been following the industry you might have noticed things got a little crappy. The rest of us are making sacrifices to keep the company afloat and yet you think the retirees should not share in the sacrafice. Tell me again how I was being slefish by wanting to keep 70K people employed and yet you think we should shut the place down for a few hundred retirees.

Perhaps you should back off the Cialis. I hear it can cause vision problems and you tend to be a bit blind when it comes to the industry. What do you do, jumping jacks in the cockpit? The NG has plenty space if you stay at your station ie the seat. Besides, the -700, which I fly has a kick a$$ instrument display the same as a 777. I doubt any flights would have been diverted for fuel. Maybe shorter routes for the Bus are warranted. :crying:

No, I mentioned one guy that had earned a defined benefit only to have it destroyed by others for their own needs. How would you hear that about Cialis…are you using it? I wouldn’t have a clue as to it’s effects. Ok you are up. Show me proof that UAL exceeded the hiring required by the EEOC and I will admit you are right. All you got to do is get the letter from the EEOC and prove in an open forum that UAL did something not mandated by the goverment.

As a 570, 32LT10 is definitely not an EEOC type so scratch that. On the otherhand, BM is correct in saying that we UAL folks have no right to be casting stones. His points in the debate made that obvious point abundantly clear. Besides, how many of our furloughed colleagues along with furloughed pilots from other carriers now work for the Jetblues and Airtrans? Wishing ill will on a pilot that your own company furloughed is pathetic.

As for our freind Dennis Miller, trying to establish your position in a debate by posting incidents or accidents will get you nowhere. There is enough of that to go around for all carriers. So what is the point?

Shortcut? Hardly. The use of 32LT10 at ORD is normal ops and not a shortcut. That shows your ingnorance of the operations at probably the best controlled airport in the world. Why don't you bring your airplane to ORD and request the full length of 32L. If you are not a heavy going to somewhere far away you can plan some penalty minutes for being the mental midget you really are.

So far in my career I have been hired by UA, gone on Strike, fired as a group, rehired as a group, had my seniority negated by scabs hired after me and then had my seniority returned to its rightful place. Of course you know all this as you are the resident expert on all things UAL since you have a hangar next to a retired guy. Prior to UAL I was flying for another carrier that is no longer in existence.

You would be the guy that has to have the full length of 25R in LAX. The F intersection is just too little runway for your ego to get airborne.

Tell hangar boy to enjoy retirement.

UAL has hired many pilots over a broad spectrum of flight time. Since the end of the EEOC mandate there have been some low time pilots hired. Not in the numbers that were hired in 88,89. In fact a few of them were White Guys that came from the intern program. I suppose you don't like them either do you? Too much of a shortcut? They should have had to been a guard whore like yourself trying to justify to family and neighbors why they never flew for the airlines. When the truth be told is they were too much of a fruitcake to pass the test.

Now do you have the copy of the mandate and the breakdown of the hiring? You are very opiniated and I would think you might like to bring some facts to the table. Let's see the data you have. Numbers and letters from the EEOC will do.

Do you have a shoe shine kit Dusty? Mine could use some polish, if you got the time. You probably are good at while you were licking those boots of the CO trying to make a name for yourself in the guard.

Tell the scab with the L39 to drop dead. As fat as he is it probably won't be long.
