We received the email from ALPA and the JBOC today, with authorization cards attached. Copy of the email and cards are on there way by mail too.

From priceless El Capitan "I hate Unions"
Me ""You have a recall rights at AA?"
El Capitan "Um er yeah well but you don't well umm..........."

any reason you don't just make your own JBPU?

We tried with the JBPA and lacking structure. At that time there was still an air of one more chance lingering around as well. Right now we need a TV dinner that's ready to go in 5 min.

This thread was moved because...?

Because anything with a hint of ALPA and an excuse to be moved (in this case we're an LCC while SWA threads remain intact) get's moved because the mods are sympathetic to Jetblue remaining non-union.

There are moderators at Flightinfo who are pilots for Jetblue.

Take a look at AirTran and it will answer any questions of why we don't do an in-house union. APLA carries a much bigger stick!:uzi:

Yea...they're takin' it back!!! Yea right!

Really? Who? I was a mod here for a long time and know almost all the mods on here....Unless I am forgetting someone, there are no JB pilots that are mods here.

Regardless, Longhorn, there is no reason the JetBlue threads should be moved to LCC/National and the SWA threads left under Majors. Frankly, it should be the other way around.

I agree....but I have zero to do with this website or the people who moderate it the way they do. I dont agree with it being moved but its what they wanted....

Oh yea, and I forgot to mention to the MOD who moved the JB threads to the LCC form.....apparently its not cool for anything JB to be on the majors forum but you leave a thread about a PFT gulfstream thread up on the Majors board? Whatever guys.....

Will a union really make jetblue "better"? I'm just asking for my own edification.

It ain't getting any better....

no scope
crappy health insurance
no health insurance after COBRA if on LTD
taxable LTD
pricey STD
questionable merger protection
retirement at 30% les than average
no representation

and the list goes on...............

Begin Sarcastic spew:
It ain't getting any better....

no scope (Organic Growth... DUH)
crappy health insurance (Well, it's expensive everywhere)
no health insurance after COBRA if on LTD (Why should we pay if you can't work?)
taxable LTD (The man needs his too!)
pricey STD (You'll be back online soon you can afford it)
questionable merger protection (What? You didn't hear organic growth?)
retirement at 30% les than average (Age 70... and no SS you'll be dead so who cares...)
no representation (We have an open door policy, the company has your best interest in their hearts and minds)

and the list goes on...............

Don't you read any of the jet to the points?!!?:angryfire

Plus, there's a workaround for most of that.

~~End Sarcasm~~

See, here at jB we put the crewmember first... I may have missed the email, but is that the cultural insurance we have? I use my wifes.

The pilot who flew the first revenue flight for JetBlue just had his company health insurance terminated while on LTD.

You be the judge.

So what now for him? Sounds like a tough situation.

If Barger was to be the head of the FDA, most processed food would be organic. This is my analogy of "Organic" growth in jetBlue. You buy an organic sandwich, the ham is not organic, neither is the mayo and mustard, neither is the bread, but that little olive in it, its USDA certified organic. (and it happens to be one of the ones AA took our years ago).
I dont know who Barger is blue********************ing with the organic growth.

Do I detect an undertone of sarcasm in your statement? Biggest Commuter Feeder
Do you imply a commuter pilot is a lesser professional?
Would you like to elaborate on your statement?

Sure...

JP pilots got no scope. They are becoming feeders for widebodies.
