Tell your buddy the gouge is indeed good for the interview. Get your buddy to do some searches on this site for info about the EMB, etc. He'll come much more informed about our company, the press releases, background posts related to the hiring process, etc. He'll go into the interview much more relaxed if he's got a good handle on these topics.
Upgrade now is running around 13-14 months.
We interview anywhere from 65-85 candidates.
Since we don't interview every month, that's how many get called for the upcoming interview. Not a monthly quota.
Speaking of quotas, we hire as many of those interviewees that pass the interview process. That way no one competes against the other candidates.
The numbers run about 70-80% of those that interview get passed into Phase II. Of those about 85% get the job offer.
Since the EMB won't be on the property until 2005, we're only hiring for the Bus.
Based off of our hiring for this year and the growth, I'm guessing we will hire almost 300 pilots next year. Dean hasn't yet discussed those numbers with us.
We'll be concentrating on upgrade training in Nov and Dec (meaning no initial classes for Nov and Dec), so we're putting through higher numbers of initial training in Sep and Oct. I think Dean said 2 classes of 18 each for each month to compensate for the holiday schedules.
Hope this helps and happy landings
