There is no way a FA union could force management to put those seat back in. I believe out of anger the FA's will organize. Thats what I meant by my post. Next, according to some of the mainte folks today the seats ARE coming out. The reason this angers me so is because our management can't seem to properly run an airline and make money by charging reasonable fairs. What does management do then? Lets see, we sell aircraft and remove seats in order to carry one less flight attendant. In the end we cut some corners to get by. I do not agree with it at all. Is B6 a nice place to work, sure it is. Is it a career, no, and they are quickly turning into more of a regional mentality than a major airline.
As far as the growth goes it is good that we continue to expand. The bad part is we continue to grow the company on the backs of the employees without increasing compensation while deteriorating benefits. Growth is good for the company but not the employees if they are not rewarded. This idea of management doing the right thing by giving 190 fo's a "bonus" does very little for my warm and fuzzy monitor since they should have paid proper rates from the beginning. In essence the company says we will will pay you regional wages but we will give you a 3 grand bonus around xmas to shut you up. Again, not what I signed up for or what I have been fed by D&D since the beginning.
These are facts and the truth hurts. You come into something believing very strongly and reality sets in. We are all seeing it just some refuse to acknowledge it. We are no different from other companies and thats the part that sucks the most.
