60 straight qtrs of profitablilty! 1500 new pilots over next 3 yrs, with the additon of new jets each yr. SWA will be the largest domestic carrier soon.

As too pay raises and pay cuts.....I don't think there enough pilots in this company that are greedy enough to ask for raises (other than COLA) to cause SWA a problem. Most of us know how good we have it and we will work hard to this company profitable for 60 more straight qtrs.

I chose SWA as my first choice after being rejected by 12 other airlines. The best decision I ever made.

I didn't know there were 12 airlines out there?

SWA/FO

You always seem to catch me in my lies. I am a pathological liar...no I'm not, yes I am...

P.S. I new you weren't in trouble since you are at our frozen tundra base. I would have missed your inputs. You keep them on their toes. Thanks for pointing out my stories to the others, now I have no credibility.

BTW Murph........... we already are the largest "domestic" carrier by quite a large margin. In about 4 years we will also have the largest fleet in the world. We just passed UAL and the target now is AA. I don't remember where I read this but I just saw it in the past week.

Not bragging just telling.
Gup

How come your not making money? You not charging the right amount of money to sell your "lowest" cost product?

What are you guys smoking? Southwest anyday over JB. Paycuts are not coming. No other workforce is as productive as Southwest's. We are not managed by your management team. We will continue to kick @$$ and take names. You want to be part of that or do you want to take more of chance in an industry like this?

There's some kool-air on your chin...

Swa/fo Is Right!!

Dude, I tell people that ALL the time...yes, Barry Sanders would have broken Walter Payton's rushing record in half the time, if he was behind Emmitt Smith's line. Emmitt was great, but Barry was the most talented running back I have ever seen...he comes from the school of BYOB(Be Your Own Blocker). Remember that Cadillac commercial? Alright...enough...got a little excited about a meaningful conversation in one of these posts.

Half the time? Yea sure.

The Cowboys Super Bowl line was comprised of 2 undrafted free agents (Mark Tuinei and Nate Newton), an LA Raiders castoff (John Gesek), an undersized center (Mark Stepnoski), and a 3rd round pick (Erik Williams). Of those, only Erik Williams was truly a great player and he was never the same after his car wreck in '94.

Larry Allen showed up in '94 and after the Cowboys won the SB in '95, the line was stripped by free agency.

Emmitt Smith made that line great, not the other way around.

Go back to swigging your Courvoisier, Leon.

Congrats and if you don't mind telling, how did a civilian pilot get concurrent offers from two of the three hiring major airlines?

Unbelievable. I have flown with both types, good and bad. If you think for a second the military or civilian side has a dead lock on good pilots, you need to have your head examined. The arrogance and self righteousness of pilots is the simple explanation for why we are collectively where we are today. I am finished with the soapbox...you may now continue your race to the bottom.

Man your crazy! Walter didn't have any line from 1975-1984. Still the best football player ever!

SWA has made money since it's inception, why should anything change now or in the future..If VA hits the streets running B6 is in for a tough fight. B6 is a gamble, SWA isn't. No brainer
