Any news besides the July 6th email? I was expecting some paperwork to fill out for the background check but nothing so far.

hang tight guys and gals....numbers and dates will be out and made public next week....should be around 100 pilots this year and 150 next year....probably 25 to 33 a month starting in mid Aug.

They are going to fly the highest ASM's in the history of the company this Sept.and we are out of Pilots as it is.

That sounds fantastic. Hopefully we all get good news soon.

That would be FANTASTIC, I'm wearing holes in the carpet from pacing

I have heard that the numbers are significantly less than what most are expecting. The rumors circulating are 25-50 to be hired for our upcomming airplanes, but the first new hire class will not start until Jan. It makes no sense considering the delivery schedule, but we have not received the 7 Airbus's yet and supposidly 2 of those are in such bad shape that we won't be taking them. The other 5 are still scattered all over Europe and the Middle East. We need pilots, but management seems to be content with running things very thin and trying to get thru the fall lull before hiring

VP of Flight Ops stated that 60-80 pilots would need to be hired ASAP to get us through the proposed December schedule (actually, the last two weeks of December).

Executive Team doesn't want to hire... trying to keep costs down for the Fiscal Year and prop up stock price.

If they don't hire.. we won't fly the proposed schedule. Staffing is too tight...

So either hiring starts in August... or pushed back to January.

Of the 7 A320s, 6 are coming. One was a basket case.

One of the 6 A320's will be subbing for an E190 that will be pulled off the line as they come off for a new modification update that will be starting. This was all from the VP about two weeks ago. But as you can tell, things are changing daily.
