Has anyone here heard any rumors regarding an aquisition merger of JB? I understand this has something to do with the interest in JB joining ALPA?

What does Jetblue wanting to join ALPA have ANYTHING to do with a merger??? JEEEZZZ, thie stuff on this board is unbelievable!

To have ALPA merger policy LPP's apply vs. Allegheny-Mohawk.....

I heard we're going to merge with either FedEx or UPS. We'll be the flower delivery group for Valentine's Day and for all the Northbound Human Remains from FL after the winter's over...

Whatever the mechanism for AA (an AMR Corp company) and the assets from the TWA Inc CHapter 11 filing (going under the TWA LLC moneker), the two pilot groups were integrated. Classifiing the financial transaction as a merger, acquisition or take-over doesn't take away from the fact the the NMB ruled one day that all TWA pilots were now under APA because ALPA decided not to have an election. The key here is that AA management agreed to take the employees, under their respective seniority lists, as an asset with the A/C, gates etc. Thus handing the integration to their unions, and stapling the TWA gate agents which were nonunion. So if SWA 700 had said you don't want ALPA for an 'integration' would you have posted at all. If so, give the guy a break and try to not hijack a thread about jB buying F9.

Who'd whant jB?

Whoever doesn't have a large east coast shuttle operation and whoever wants a 190 operation that has all the bugs worked out of it. That could be an airline like United or possibly a new airline named Compass. Even if you are a JetBlue hater, you have to admit the airline has a very high value with all the JFK slots and gates and the lucrative east coast shuttle.

Sounds like a merger made in heaven for US!

Sounds like just a little overlap for US Air, actually, there is too much aircraft similarity (airbus) for Parker to be interested. Wonder if the DAL deal doesn't go through if he could get JB for the $8.? Billion offer.

I have heard a few JB friends and other accurate rumor types say that AMR is interested in JB's fleet. The Buses will make a nice start in replacing the Super 80 and the Embraer is just what the Doc ordered.

AMR will eliminate a LCC competitor and JB is Non-union making stapling a forgone conclucion. The APA has already said OK.

You are very, very bad! You will be punished in the afterlife... ;) :D TC

Lucrative east coast shuttle now that's worth a hardy laugh. At the breath taking fares JB charges I'm sure it's putting the squeeze on the Fung Wah bus service from Chinatown. A major revenue machine
