CAL is killing me.......very quickly. The evil spawn is PBS and our contract......dying slowly......uuggghhh.
 
Great Thread everyone, I mean, it is mostly the standard complaining (which we do best), but I think we need to take a SERIOUS look at lifestyle / sleep and what we are really willing to sacrafice for this job.

I applaud anyone who leaves this profession in the interest of their health and any other "more important things in life"

It takes guts to walk away after working so hard for so long. Let's TAKE IT BACK!

As for the thread drift re: pilot intelligence. It seemed like prior to 9/11 the talent the airlines attracted was somewhat impressive.

Now you can see the quality beginning to match the pay/QOL expectations... just about anyone with a decent head on their shoulders wouldn't enter this career today.
