Is turboprop PIC 121 time still so valuable?

If you would have ever flown TProps for a while you would understand. The biggest problem for Tprop drivers transitiong to jets is groundspeed when you are close to the airport and not being able to slow down like you are accustomed too. Basicaly Tprop drivers have to relearn their bag of tricks and it takes a little while to do it.
As far as the 1900 goes, I rate it pretty easy to fly.

Easy now, don't be throwing the PFT term around. I've flown TP and jets. My point was that some TP guys get all bent on the Jet time VS. TP time and which is better. It just comes across like you have "Little man's" syndrome, except substitute TP for Little man.

Airlines have mins for a reason. Who knows why they decide on them, but they do. You never hear anyone complaining that the major's want 1500 TT or more. You only hear people complaining about the "type" of time.
