Spirit is rumored to have obtained a release. Can anyone confirm?

Spirit pilots,

Today the National Mediation Board issued a Proffer of Arbitration to both ALPA and Spirit Airlines. Either ALPA or Spirit must refuse the Proffer before a 30 day cooling off period can begin. The MEC will meet as soon as possible to discuss and vote on how to respond to the Proffer. Once again, a 30 day cooling off period has not begun, until the proffer is refused by either party. Please stay informed by reading all fast-reads and listening to the VARS.

Fraternally,

Your MEC

I guess Spiritboard really is Your Official Source, Your First Source, Your Only Source. Just kidding, but they did scoop the story from the MEC by 6 1/2 hrs. I'm just sayin.

The Spirit MEC rejected the proffer today, I believe. They're just waiting to see when the NMB will start the 30 day clock. It's on!!!!!!!!!!

That is correct, Stay strong boys I think when the clock starts ticking it will get even worse.

You mean the "Company Scab Board"

They're already trying to justify crossing the picket line

Really, I couldnt find that. Can you please tell me which post or screen nemes you are refering to? There is even a forum to document scabs when the strike starts. i couldnt find one single pro-company post. Not one. Im waiting kwick.

Not one person over there is talking about scabbing. Even everybody's favorite MEC hater, PL, is vowing to stop OT in the cooling off period.

Having a management position is
not a "Get out of Jail Free Card"

If you are free to resign your
postion, why would you choose to work
during a strike?

If you choose to work during a
strike resign your pilot seniority
number.

They could easily hire every pilot
inclined not to strike as manage-
ment pilots.

Per the CBA there are only four (4) management pilots who may fly at all, let alone during the strike...

CP
DO
VP of Flight Ops
Director of Training

That is it. FOUR
