Is single pilot Cessna 340 time enough for NJA?

Im going to be flying a cessna 340 single pilot and flight instruction.. Will Net Jets interview someone with that kind of time?

To qualify as a NetJets Aviation (Citation, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream 200, Boeing aircraft) pilot candidate you must have the following prerequisites:

• Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
• Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
• 2500 hours total pilot time
• 500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
• 250 hours instrument time

With all the guys that go to interview with thousands of tubine time, I doubt it . But, you never know, I think the personnality plays a big role that day, maybe more than flight time...hopefully.

If you still only have 1000 hours then by the time you get to 2500 who knows what the hiring atmosphere will be like. I was hired just under 2 years ago, now flying capt for NJA. I am convenced that if I was to apply today that I would not get hired for several different reasons, but especially because their are a lot of high time jet people out of work right now. When they can afford to be picky like right now, they like to see some types and turbine time.

So is 2500TT competitive if you have 1000 turbine? If not what is? If I want to work there should I stay 121 until I have the mins for NJ or is there something that will make me more marketable?

i know a guy working for netjets who was flying single pilot bank checks in a multi piston. That and flight instructing were the only experience he had.

The quick answer, YES.

But think about it from an overall competitive standpoint. If you just meet the flight time mins, then you will need a good rec. There are a bunch of piston only guys that were hired BC (before contract). When the hiring pool is smaller, and it will be eventually, then you will be golden. Problem is pools dry up cause there are better contracts out there, but then you, along with everyone else, want the latest and greatest. Aviation is cyclical; we are riding high now with a low in the future followed by a high. Get hired in the low if you have low time.
