Is Regions Air picking up Trans States Flying?

In a sense they are picking it up, but I think the only flying they are picking up was our EAS flying since our 41's are all going away and taking a jet to COU or SPI would be a waste since the trip would be 5 mins long. Not sure what they are picking up but we will not miss it(well I wont anyway).
 
and then the 41's do(OR DID) STL to CID/MEM/XNA/CVG/IND/BNA and so on, which is longer stage lengths than the EMB on some routes. Go figure!!!
 
Does that make Regions like TSA since TSA flys Eagle jets that were going to the desert anyway? Should TSA pilots shun their brethern in the venerable J32 now? Does it make them scum because they picked up some TSA flying? Enquiring minds have got to know!
 
I dunno maybe Regions Air will start a new company called GoSPI Airlines to fly J41s that TSA is putting in the Desert. Then people at GoSPI would be scum I guess.
 
Who's blaming the regions pilots for what? I haven't heard anybody say that. The fact is that TSA is dumping this flying for whatever reason and Regions is picking it up. I'm personally unhappy since it will most likely mean a downgrade to FO for me but I most certainly do not blame the regex guys. I blame the hindu.

Yeah, I don't want you downgrading to FO either.

I blame the hindu for pretty much everything.
 
Why is Trans States giving up the routes? I realize that these are EAS routes so profit margins are narrow. Does it save that much money being an all jet fleet?

Part of it is the J41 leases are up, and the company doesn't want to renew them and keep paying them. Also the sim contract is up and they don't want to renew that either. And I guess having one airplane type is a help, works for SWA.
 
Yo Millhouse...well just got the call...looks like our class was moved up to this month...and we will be FOs....but I'll belive that when I see it...cause we both know we werent supposed to be displaced out to STL in the first place. Anyways dunno if Regions is picking up any of the flying. From what I heard they are not picking up enough because they dont have enough planes to pick anything up right now. Heard that we are gonna keep a few 41s here until Sept or Oct. They will be for the EAS stuff...sounds kinda like the ATR. Also heard that the airport reserve crew got called off of the couch a few days ago to ferry a 41 down to Smyrna, TN...which if I recall is were Corpex/
Regions is based. So who knows maybe they are gonna buy some of em. Also heard that Regions will replace TSA on most of the routes using SAAB 340s. Anyways its a rumor clearing house right now so pick your favorite one and run with it. Oh also heard that all new hire classes at TSA were cancelled until June or July....I think thats all the rumors I have for now...until next time have fun.
 
I got the call too. Will see you in class! Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if the new hires get the ol' bait and switch. "All the TSA new hire classes have been canceled but we CAN offer you a class date at this OTHER airline not related to TSA...."

You must remember that OTHER airline does have a SEPERATE web site...

Regions is based.
Those were for Corporate Flight Management, I believe.

Who knows what Regions is doing..

I've heard we're picking up the flying, I've heard we're not.. If we are.. I dunno how we're gonna do it.. How on the world are we going to pick up 34 seat flying with 19 seat birds that we can barely keep pilots in with the routes we have.. I mean, we're not getting new airplanes..

I've also heard that perhaps we may pick up the TSA stuff with the Saabs.. but.. I dunno where they are yet..

dictionary.com....Try ignorant or naive. Honestly, I was going to leave it that, but I don't think you get it. First off, Corpex is not going to fly J41's owned by TSA. Second, we at TSA suppport our Eagle brothers and sisters, not so much can be said for you scumbag a$$hole G0JET pukes. Keep trying to rationilize it, someday you'll wake up and look in the mirror, and realize what you really are.

Yeah I keep hearing more and more that a few J41s are gonna stay till sometime in the fall. Which is gonna suck for like the top 10 or so crews cause they will be stuck with the dying fleet. Anyways rumor has it that we will have to keep flying a few 41s until about October or so. The reason is because we can't just abandon the EAS routes and that Regions does not have the planes or pilots to pick up those routes at this time and I guess will be able to pick up those routes sometime in the fall. So until then TSA is stuck with those routes.
 
We only have 2 EAS cities, DEC and JLN. The EAS contract in JLN is up at the end of July according to the Govt. website. I don't see them keeping airplanes and crews for one EAS city.

Thats a big negative on the Geux Jet question. I was only making light of how the Eagle guys try to equate what happened with TSA flying their clapped out planes that were headed to the desert (which I don't agree with, should never have happned) to the Geaux Jet thing. I have grown tired of these fkucers saying that we at TSA are getting ours for flying their planes.

GJ guys are scum of the scum. They lack integrity and intestinal foritude, just the sort that management likes. If those screwballs think they have an innoculation against Hulas putting it in their azz, they're dumber than they have proved so far.

I doubt I'll be around to see these azzholes get scoped onto the TSA list but I certainly hope their lives are siht once it happens. I can assure you though if I am around, the T/O breif will include, "SOP callouts ONLY."

Regions Air guys, if you guys are picking up the flying, more power to you guys. I hope you fellas get your upgrades quicker and can get where ever you guy want to.

Damn, I'm rambling. Time for another beer then off to the bed to hear a youngin start crying in a couple of hours. Guess I need to clarify better huh?

Eh, let's see..

I think we have operated wiht 6 birds.. and we have 8 flyable.. and I think there are are 6 crews based in BNA and 15 crews based in STL currently.. So, approximately ~2.5 crews per bird.. :)
