They do seem to be everywhere these days..I'm getting a good mix of flying and sitting on my 7 and 7. They already got me going to toledo for my recurrent. Seems a little early but who cares when you get paid the same whether you fly or not!

Recurrent already? Holy crap. We're seasoned six month veterans already?:D

I intervied in May. My group was there 20-22. There was 10 of us. Not one person has heard a word back yet, not even a " no thank u" letter yet.

Few Part 121 guys there. One from Aloha and one from ATA with fairly fast times from application to interview. I think everyone there had at least one recommendation.

Not sure how long it takes to get a letter if not hired. Anyone know? Just heard a guy took 5 weeks for an offer.

For our group in April, the letters went out about three weeks after the interview. For how long it takes to get the phone call, well I can't answer that as it has now been over 7 weeks and no one in our group has recieved one yet. However, everyone that did not get the "no thanks" letter has recieved an email from Derinda saying that they will be getting an offer but no one has recieved said offer as of yet.

Did anyone in your group initially got the "unofficially appeared good" email, but later got the "no thanks" letter?

The economy and what NJA does are two different things.

Uncle Warren has invested in NJA. There is a huge plan that continues to unfold daily. A massive $200+ million training complex, over a Billion dollars in aircraft orders, new interiors for our older fleets(if you can call a 6 year old aircraft old), etc... doesn't sound like we are going backwards anytime soon.

People have to remember that the economy and NJA don't go hand in hand like the economy and the airline industry. It's like comparing caviar to cheese whiz.

Hiring continues.

I think anyone who thinks rich people don't cut back during severe downturns would be pretty surprised if the US economy really does go into the toilet.

Negative growth going on third quarter, 1/4 new home contstruction compared to a year ago, $30 Trillion in assumed debt, value of the dollar being compared to Pesos, not to mention inflation and unemployment rates... The economy is already in the toilet.

We add a net gain of over 50 A/C and 400+ pilots this year alone. NJA is 180 degrees from every other part of the aviation industry and it never ceases to surprise me.

From what I have heard we have a long list of waiting owners. That, combined with the latest NBAA forecasts for domestic business turbo jet aircraft almost tripling over the next ten years...I feel pretty comfortable.

Good Luck.

No, in fact the email didn't say "unofficially appeared good." It said "we will be extending you an offer." Slightly different tone I would say, but no, no one has gotten a "no thanks" letter after the intial round went out.
