What's good for the Gander is good for the Goose. Either the girls get to keep theirs, or the guys ought to lose theirs.

Right on.

FN FAL, do you have an opinion about the avatar subject?

yea, as long as sex organs are covered by whipped cream or clothing or are blacked out and as long as dead bodies, products of body functions or profanity aren't displayed in an avatar...let it be.

Sounds good...skygoddess' avatar was of a man wearing underwear, no shirt. The only skin shown was his abdomen and his legs. It looked somewhat like JUSTAFLYGIRL'S avatar.

Do we know Skygoddess was banned specifically for her avatar? We assume that it's the case, but we're not sure.

Either way, there's no reason whatsoever to ban someone because of their avatar. I think some people were asked to change their avatars (Dash 8?), but this is the first time someone may have been banned for it. Seems highly biased, if this is what happened.

Like I said in a post on another thread, I have no problem with all the t&A in the avatars around here. They get pretty raunchy, but so what? However, the same rules should apply to the females. Parts were covered up, so what's the deal? Protruding penises are no worse than protruding boobies and a5s!

We all have better things to do than worry about avatar censorship. Lighten up, moderators!

English, have you applied for the female moderator job yet?

Go Cats!

Yeah, I'll get right on that.

NOT.

I think one of the qualifications to be a moderator includes a clean background. I was already thrown into the penalty box, so I think that precludes my involvement.

I think if everybody keeps playing with the tiger's tail, they're going to find out. Do we really need another rule?
Yes, I believe we do-> There seems to be a double standard here, as far as what is acceptable in an avatar. Personally, I would rather not allow any of that bull**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** in an avatar, but I don't make the rules, and as I am sure many of you will point out, no one is making me come here, and look at them. But it does bother me when a woman gets banned for doing the same thing men have been doing here for as long as I can remember. No wonder there are so few women pilots, you guys are scaring them all away!!

This I want to know. Why in the bleep do the guys get away with porn but the women can't enjoy some in their avatars? If it gets too risque, remove the avatar as it is done for the guys.

I think it's a male ego problem. They can't uphold the standard.

Guys expect us to be a perfect ten but put up with their pot bellies, beer burps, smelly feet, and thinning hair.

And I could put up with the above if the guy also helped with changing diapers, washing dishes, doing laundry, cooking dinner (in CA BBQing is acceptable at any time of the year in any weather conditions), balancing the budget, mopping the hangar floor, changing the oil in all five vehicles (cars, plane, boat, RV), and assisting with flying and driving lessons.

What's really sad is guys make the same positive comments on avatars that contain shots of cool planes, cars, and war explosions.

Fly SAFE!

Its just so cute when you talk like that :)
