Is Flight Options Changing their Name?

I have seen guys get hired within a week of submitting an app while others wait and wait.

Presently, a pilot with only 2,500 hours total may have a hard time competing. The average app screened for the call pile is running over 5,000 hours.
 
No rhyme or reason.

I know guys with a lot more qualifications than me that got hired, I also know guys with a lot less, both in quantity of time and quality of time. I know a guy that got hired with just over 2000 hours total time and less than 500 PIC. I know another guy that got hired with no turbine PIC time at all. I have over 2800 hours now with all but 300 of that multi-engine turbine and over 900 PIC in ME turbine with the military.

As flyboy said, there doesn't seem to be much of a pattern. I just wish I knew the answer to the riddle.
