Is AA ever going to recall?

With 5 plus Billion in the bank/short terms, AMR will grow. The question is how? M&A or new aircraft?

the question is will it grow from mainline jets with AA painted on the tail or via RJ's run by Eagle. AMR will grow, but how?

How do you know that? If the staffing really is that tight, they will either have to recall - or park even more planes.

Jumpseating the other day on AA, the captain told me that Arpey's parking 10-12 A300s soon, and maybe the whole fleet.

Trying to shrink to profitability? I hope this one doesn't come true, the A300s would mean huge reductions in int'l moneymaker routes.

I would guess that the A300s are coming up on some very expensive heavy checks and they've reached the end of their economic life.
