Racepilot,
Good rivalry is fun, and lime green chips would be interesting. I am glad that you enjoy your job, just as I do. That A320 really does seem like a nice plane to fly, and I jumpsat in many prior to 9-11. I am sure you will enjoy it.
Learlove,
Ok, let me get it straight this time. I think you said you wanted ASA/Comair to expand more to medium sized cities, and allow the 757's to fly to FL? Well, ok. The RJ's currently serve quite a few cities from CVG, DFW, LGA, SLC and ATL, medium, big, and small. But, you want them to do more of them? How about we just get rid of all of the MD88's, 737-200's, and 737-800's? All of the medium sized cities, close and far, will now be served by only RJ's---50 and 70 seaters. I can see it now, people flying 3 hours in a cramped RJ, not being able to use their Lap tops, being squished by Jared next to them, trying to get some sleep or preparing for a meeting. Maybe they should furlough some more "high priced pilots" In the end, we'll have 1000 RJ's and 10 777's. Wrong.
We are putting RJ's in areas that can bring in good feed for our mainline planes. Comair just added Erie, Binghamton, and Atlantic City, forexample---which will really hurt USAir and others.
That is really what RJ's are good for---exploring new routes and identifying cities that bigger mainline jet should eventually go to if loads are good enough. And how is Song different from metrojet and Callite you ask? Well, these planes are more efficient than old 737-200's. We are actually doing marketing to sell the idea of Song. We have a heck of a lot more money than USAir or CAL. We have very few unions to get in the way (except us

. We will increase utilization--to 13.2 hours a day and 50 min turns. We will have the entertainment like Jetblue, but offer more. We have better frequent flyer options for customers than Metrojet or Callite----it's called the SKYTEAM. Do you want me to go on?
TIME WILL TELL, ummmm yeah.
Bye Bye---General Lee
