Heavy Set said:I've heard COEX could hire as many as 500-600 this year. So, if you've flown the D328Jet and the CRJ, why not add the ERJ to your "RJ Tour"... I hear Coex is a good company to work for and that they might be adding E170s soon.

What I don't understand is the statement that "pilots that are currently captains will be furloughed". The math on this one is fuzzy, but I'll try:
unless there's a reason that 5+year FO's were bypassed for upgrade and there are some very junior captains on that list.
Li'l help?
dojetdriver said:I know this makes me sound like a total smartass, but here goes. For those of us that were 4-5+ year FO's that didn't get CA. There were two events that maybe you heard of that really f$%ked up alot of upgrades for alot of guys...

Is that a sign that AWAC is getting the UAL flying?Rottweiller said:That said just looked at our bitching board and the word from the fleet manager is that they (AWAC) are looking at doing interviews in IAD for ACA furloughs to fill positions in classes starting Feb. .

buzzer said:When the majors were paying so well, it was ok for most to become a "slave" for awhile to build time. The plug has been pulled. IMO, there will be no to very little upside to this profession until we come together as a group. I just don't see that happening quite yet. Why? There hasn't been enough pain collectively as a group to give us the motive. Now, if SWA was looking at a 40% paycut, some heads would be rolling.
NuGuy said:Buzzer,
If all the majors go to an LCC type structure, RJs go away. You don't see B6, SWA or AirTran paying someone else to fly aircraft.
