IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE
OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.


AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF
OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES.


THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM" DAY AND
THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT
DAY.


THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

sit at home and split water with electrolysis into oxygen and hydrogen. put the hydrogen into your fuel cell car and never spend a drop on gasoline ever again....hondas FCX comes to mind......however it dosent have a turbo...i like turbos. i need a turbo

Who made this calculation?

Where did the 4.6 billion dollar figure come from?

You say May 19th has “FORMALLY” been made stick it to ‘em day.
Was this by a bill passed by congress or a Presidential decree? If it was “formal” the media really missed out on the formality.

The administration, any of them, cannot control prices. Price is set by market demand and supply. Do you think a gas station will sell gas at a loss? They’d just lock the door and preserve their capitol.

If you want price to come down, either you or I must use less(that means drive less), or more oil must be recovered, and refinery capacity must increase.

Does not buying gas also apply to airlines, trucking companies, diesel for trains and boats? That put pilots out of work, hotels out of customers, power companies that use gas driven turbines will shut down. Your suggestion will do nothing but cripple America and its economy. Besides, how would I get to my golf tee time if my tank was empty, and the gas was not for sale?

This mass chainletter-type email has been passed around so many times, it is far beyond trite. At my emailbox's last count, there have been over 345 formal 'stick it to 'em days.' Last time I check, OPEC is choking on their profits, not their stockpiles.

It's quite immature for you to complain of petrol prices here in the U.S. You're welcome to visit Europe where gas ranges from $3.00US to $10.00US per litre.

When single women quit driving Ford Expeditions and retired Grandpas give up there Dodge Rams, consumption will drop... That will be a more reasonable means of lowering prices. I can assure you that passing around 6th grade emails will do nothing to help your cause.

If I see one more news interview where some jackarse is fueling up his $45k Lincoln Navigator or {insert any other SUV in here...} complaining about how he can't take his kids on summer vacation this year because of gas prices, I'm gonna lose it! Any sap that can afford to drive one of those overpriced gas guzzling pieces of shiznit has no right to complain about gas going up. Go buy a f'ing Civic....

The ones who complain dont own that 45K POS. they lease it / make payments on it... Just like thier wifes BMW, the country club membership, and the 2 mortgages on the 750K 4BR Colonial.

Its all financed based on future earnings. Wealthy people dont care about fuel prices...
