There is more than just two.
 
I always heard that one was called the E4B, and had more of an emergency, mobile command type setup. The normal AF-1 was more for regular travel.

But that's just something I heard!

You think the President will travel less with the soaring gas prices? I hope he is making out alright.
 
There are (were ) 4 E4B, based at Offutt, AFB Omaha. It is not used for AF-1. It is a C3 airplane that the SECDEF uses.

There are 2 747 for AF-1, both at Andrews, One getting Maint while the other one Flies.
 
I like the door on the near one. I'm guessing that airstairs are not standard on 747s!!!
