The way I see it, all the RJ operating regionals are pretty equivalent, contract wise, except Mesa.

Comair has a bit more because they fought hard at a time when they had real leverage. XJ has a bit more because they had exclusivity on CAL feed when they negotiated. CHQ, SKYW, ASA, PDT, TSA, PCL, AWAC, etc. have very similar contracts and W2's, though they vary a little.

Mesa, however, is waaaay below the rest, and definitely must take some responsibility for the mess we find ourselves in. CMR pilots are basically being told right now that our company is to be liquidated and our airplanes to be leased to Mesa because their crew costs are CHEAPER. By accepting another 15% paycut, losing my retirement contribution and work rules, I can agree to maybe keep my job a little longer. I hate them too.

Sadly, though this may be the last chapter for CMR, the rest of the book is yet to be written. Expect similar fates for ASA, CHQ, SKYW on the Delta side if they do not accept Mesa level wages in the future.

Anyone that thinks MESA's 2003 contract shouldnt take some of the blame for the messa we find our selfs in today probably works for MESA.

I really really hate MESA airlines

And?

So does just about every pilot of every OTHER airline
So does EVERY pilot that ever worked there.
So do most passengers that have to endure riding on them.
So do the gate agents for airlines that have to endure the delays and problems inherent in dealing with Mesa.
and the list goes on and on and on and on...

just make sure you separate the pilot group from the company when talking about the lowest, worst excuse for a place to work on this planet.

Shoot there went all those years of therapy down the drain, dang!!!

It's unfortunate that the airline industry has come down to this. But, we should not bash Mesa pilots for trying to make a living!

The pilot group is to blame. It's really simple, don't apply there, don't work there, NO MESA or any other sh!tty airline. They can't shat themselves pilots, someone has to make the choice to sell out. I could make a living doing the donkey show in Tijuana but I choose not to because of morals and dignity, also to keep my bunghole at a managable size.

Another well-informed genius grouping us with Mesa....

If you had read both contracts, you would have never made such an ignorant statement. So before you open that gateway-to-hell under your nose, please inform yourself...or kindly STFU. Thanks....and the Red Sox still suck.

If you define sucking as winning a World Series then I hope they will always suck! If you are a White Sox fan, well you had good year, but I'm guessing you're a Yankees fan that's mad cause daddy Stein couldn't buy a championship. We'll he has Damon now and so a new curse begins. I'm a Cubs fan preaching this!

Anyway Shaniqua's contract isn't as bad as Mesa's you're right,.... but it is bad enough so that all Major carriers will be taking concessions from the higher paying regional airlines within the year to lower their feed cost to industry average. Bummer yes, but reality.

Dear Flightinfo Hateposters:

We think it's good that you all hate each other. When we see threads like this, we know that our plan is working. If you all stay mad at each other you will not pay attention to us: your real enemy. As long as we can keep you fighting among yourselves, we can keep you from establishing a common stance against us which enables us to keep your pay and work rules at the lowest possible level. Thank you for your inestimable assistance in the furtherance of our goals.

Sincerely,

Your Management

I fly for Mesa. I know for a fact that Mesa sucks. But, lack of intelligence and pure anger directed to the pilots(fellow ALPA members) is shocking. Not only do I have to fly with 300 hour wonder FOs, I have to put up with pilots from other airlines that think they know everything.

A few facts:

  • Our contract was the first signed after 9/11
  • We had that Freedom thing to deal with-It is now a part of Mesa senority list, those guys are not Freedom A guys
  • We are a young pilot group and it was only our second contract ever
  • Half of the pilot group was not even here when the contract was signed
  • If people would stop calling a 90 seat airplane a RJ, we would all be better off
  • Everything that has come before the pilot group for a vote has been voted down-for spite I guess
  • I am sick of people telling me something I already know
  • I am able to provide for my family and save a little for a strike fund
  • I hate those Mesa barney windbeakers, backpacks, stocking caps, and anything that doesn't look professional. I tell all I see with any of these things to lose them.
I gladly paid my money to Comair guys while on strike, I hope all of you will feel the same when the time comes. I commute and ask for your jumpseat from time to time and I gladly answer all your questions. All the captains have been friendly and anyone is welcome on my jumpseat. Ask anything you like and I will answer as best I know how.

Mesa has many issues. I deal with them on a daily basis. People, you are not part of the solution when you beat you chest and put fellow pilots down. We are a collective group with common goals and your attitude divides so we can be conquered. I was in the business world prior to flying and thought this industry was different, I guess not. Out.

Oh, I would be happy to answer any questions or even post my W-2, schedule, whatever.

A hand out instead of fist to the gut would go a long way in helping all of us.

Bottom feeding scumbags......

Just joking around- We all just need to unify and shove it up managements ass. They make money even when companies struggle very wrong.
