The training wont be bad but the sim schedule will be horrible. I assume the training dept will be running sims day round. I was also told that the training dept. is debating on sending crews to STL and SAT for sim time due to the amount of sim time needed.

Here is a question for all the wizards out there. It is my understanding that for medical coverage, it begins the following calendar month after class date... ie March 25th class ... April 1st health, June 1st dnetal. So why does a new hire who begins class on the 25th of March who has never been on property get medical coverage a month earlier than those comming off furlough and starting class in April, We had no chance to bid for the desired A/C nor a desired recall class and I seriously doubt we will get to bid our sim slots for requal. It going to be a mess in Eagan all summer at the training center. Not that there isnt other things to bitch about but anyone care to stab at that one?

Good questions. I'm pretty high up on the furloughed list and I'd like to come back ASAP so I get start getting paid again. I hope I get that option. Although, I'm not looking forward to going back to Memphis yet again.

Will there be an updated bid award put out by the end of the week?

Sorry to be vague, but the last day is either today or tomorrow, depending on if you include last Wednesday (the day of receipt) in the 5 business day limit.

Wed... I didn't get mine til Friday evening.... Sent the fax in very late Saturday night or was it Sunday morning by that point... who knows, Gave my quitting notice to the CP at the charter place today. Though I am hoping to go to class as late as possible. And I'm hoping for a month or two off between ground and sim.

We have done training in SAT before. I've never heard of a SAAB sim in IAH and there is no CRJ900 sim there.

Here is another question. Since the majority of us return on the 2nd or the 9th of April. Are we eligible to bid for the month of May? I have read it both ways in the contract. I hope they let us all bid may and then dont get us requalled in time. Id love to c that mess.

And if anyone has answers to the Health insurance question I posted earlier please let me know.

The sims I was told about were in STL and SAT. I know IAH was mentioned earlier but I wasnt told about that one.

Are you sure those are the return dates? When I called to confirm my return Barb said that there weren't any set dates and expect a call from planning sometime later this month to get our class date. They had to wait to see how many were going to return before assigning classes.

If you loo at the vacancy 07-01 rev. #2 next to all the names awarded it has training dates. Also under the Flight training and schedules section it has the same for the award 07-01 the dates are March 26 for newhires and April 2nd or 9th for short and or lang course classes respectively. This was as of about three days ago.

I saw that and asked Barb. She said the 07-01 award dates were set but the 07-02 weren't because it was unknown how many would be in the class... likely too many to have all in one class with the 07-01 award. So planning would be contacting us to let us know when to show.
