According to some guys I've worked with, back in the 1983-85 time frame, anyone who wanted a job there just showed up and took one.

Must've been a great career for those guys to show up at just the right time when so much hiring was going on.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

They didn't even have to stand in line... in fact... they pushed right on ahead!!

Parody, cynicism, and cheap shots! Now that's what I'm talkin' about! God, I love this forum!

The truth is ugly here but call a spade a spade................

No you di'ent!

You guys sure aren't very niggardly when it comes to sharing your humorous quipthes.

Damn, you got me. But shouldn't there be an "oh" in front of your no?

There's a word I haven't seen in a while. Good thing you're not a school teacher, Tweak; you could have gotten suspended for using that word.

I believe starting pay at CAL was $43,000 base salrary during those years. That was the pay to scab and cross the picket line. Yes that $43,000 was in 1983 dollars so it would be well over $100,000 today. Sad.
