Love your job. Protect your profession. Vote yes, I will!

-No, I'm not a polititian, but I could play one on TV... and for more $ than crj700 pilot pay.

I don't disagree with your point on MW returning to the line. He is a no BS guy. That type of personality doesn't work well in a CP position. It's too bad. I know MW pretty well and it sounds like you respect him. Go talk to him someday about our MEC Chairman and see what he thinks of the way ALPA is headed. Remember, he is a no BS guy.

MW IS a no BS guy, but he is no angel. He is a "shoot now and ask questions later" kind of guy. No doubt he went to bat for us in the CP office but he thinks of #1 first and foremost. Everything that happened was of Mike's doing.

As 112 CA rep he did not get re-elected, he then pushed a vote for himself and got elected to be interim Vice MEC Chair because "her nastiness" had resigned before she got re-called, a vote that you and I both know would not have gone if BA was in the room, a sly move I'd say. He was not elected for the permenant position of Vice chair, then got booted from the training department because of frequent "line checks" on the jumpseat to MTY for the weekend. Going back to the line as a -700 CA was a huge paycut for him and he was vulnerable. CS jumped right in to save the day for MW and offered him a CP spot. CS even went around painting MW as the "pilot advocate", etc. No it was a well planned act by management to get some one fresh from our MEC with all of our negotiation stratagies on to their side. Which is why the MEC had adopted the 2 year policy prior to this situation, which MW helped draft. If you are not familiar, no person may assume a position in management within 2 years of holding an elected position in the MEC. Pretty black and white, MW waited less than 6 months and we were 2+ years in to negotiations. Your damn right ALPA was gonna do everything to hang him for this! Sad thing is that he opened the door for CV, former FO rep, to become a CP also.

So your right, MW is a no BS guy, he does not BS when it comes to putting himself ahead of others.

At the start of my 6th year at ASA, I was purchasing my 5th luggage. All those times my bag rode in the back of the Brasilia and the RJ took it's toll. Well I finally purchased the luggage works bag. I swore I would never let it ride in the back again. Well, the first time it "had" to ride in the back, it comes back with a completely bent handle. It was only 1 month old. Talking about PO'd. After that, my bag only rides in the cabin. Screw what they say, unless they want to give us a luggage allowance.

I whole heartedly agree ,however watch yourself because the FAA is!
