Yeah, that's great, less major jobs and more commuter jobs. Ahhhh, I don't think I'm the only one out there that started a career in aviation with the goal of working for a major. I can't believe how much this industry has changed since I started flying 10 years ago. The first time I flew on Delta was in the jumpseat of a Super 90 back in 1999. I still remember how impressed I was with the crew. Best of luck to those guys and all their co-workers.

If DAL pilots go on strike, it will mean the END of DAL, It will take only a few days before DAL will file chapter 7 liguidate and be done for ever. Once that happens Skywest Would have 100 planes sitting with no Delta flying to be done. They would furlough 1000 pilots while they srcambled to find flying for the now parked 100 plus planes that once flew for Delta colors. Comair would also be done!!!!! So for skywest sakes you better hope that DAL stays around.

They'll, of course, hire street captains to fly them because upgrading kids who cant fly without glass and an autopilot would be a mistake.

I wonder if this idiot is actually a blowjet pilot. The only way Skywest is going to pick up any Delta flights is after Delta goes belly up. At that point not only Skywest, but all the airlines would have to step in to pick up the flying out of ATL, CVG, and SLC. They would have to accept pax that have Delta tickets on a stand by basis. And maybe then, maybe, Skywest can buy some the Comair CRJs.

If you are thinking of anything before Delta goes belly up, then you are nothing but a SCAB, you don't even deserve this title because you are lower than that, like another pilot had said over here once, if you were on fire, we would not even piss on you!
