I'd have to say that was a fluke. All you need to do is take a look at a windshield. Simcom has a couple you can play with and take it apart and play with it to understand that keeping a windshield or anything for that matter a constant temp is a lot better for it than cooling it down and then heating it up.
Just did a fligth from one side of florida to the other never got above 9000 but left the heat on for the 30 minute flight. A windshield cools down pretty quickly and i've seen the evidence that trying to keep things even as long as possible will keep the windshield lasting a long time.
I've got some time off this week. I'll give ppg a call this week and find out what the manufacture says. That should be interesting.
By the way brian is the best character. espcially when he was the coke dog!
