To answer your question, There is no new contract. When a TA is voted down EVERYONE, included new hires stays with the current contract.. If ya want to come here, then do it. If 17 days is less than your current job then i would say its better. If and when this thing is done it will be better or we will never get a chance to vote on it. Good Luck...

The rejected TA had some grandfathered bennies for the current pilots that would not be available to new hires. That's one reason it was rejected.

If you look at most contracts, there are provisions and protections provided to pilots on the seniority list as of the date of ratification (think non-furlough clauses, though they didn't end up being worth much). There also may be current practices grandfathered in, that newhires after ratification won't get. I don't think that will happen with this contract, but you never know.
