I would have to agree .... except about the never again posting comment.

I'm used to being a target here, but that was worse than normal... The only one I visit down the street is the mother of my children's playmates, who is also my friend. Divorce may (sadly) be common for pilots but we've been happily married for 22 yrs. Another correction--I'm the frugal one in my family. Though what any of that has to do with the issues is totally beyond me...

Here's my shopping tip to help frac families stretch their dollars: you can get good buys at http://www.homedecoratorsoutlet.com/index.php

I'll third that...no need for that kind of talk here.

Thanks, gentlemen! :)

I appreciate the apology as you very badly missed the mark. I've honored my marriage vows since the day I took them and the promise I made to my husband that I would be a stay home mother. Moms that work outside the home have adult interaction. Posting here provides me with the chance to talk to other adults about interests that affect my family. Those who have suggested my children are ignored when I post wouldn't say that if they saw the pile of toys and coloring books around my computer...:p

I strongly believe that aviation families deserve the same option of having one parent home with the children that other professionals take for granted. I think that pilots are gone so much that it gives stability to their children when one parent is with them full time. When that is not a financial possibility something is seriously wrong and it certainly isn't the pilots' fault. NJW

Yo, Arewethereyet, when your ready to come over to the real world, and quit sucking uncle sams thumb, then you have the right to post here, untill then go and be happy flying fast in your shinny jet.

A military pilot? (looking at his profile) So he is...(raised eyebrows) that's very surprising. During my husband's 20 plus yrs in the active duty AF I was never insulted by a pilot....:(

DL, please don't judge all military pilots by that misdeed. My husband worked very hard for his military pay and my family gave up a lot for the defense of our country. Now my husband works just as hard for the pilots (in addition to flying the line) and my family gives up a lot for his service to the Union. Other former military pilots at NJ also volunteer in the Union and we have NJ pilots on military LOA stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq. (One is a member of this board). Pilots work hard whether they are civilian or military and all deserve respect for their skills. Likewise, the lifestyle is difficult for all of their families and they deserve recognition for supporting pilots.

New day, new jet, gentlemen....next topic please....

Well, I suppose at least it's keeping the thread alive.

I'll enjoy my "shiny" (properly spelled) jet thanks.

I think your current position says enough to me that I'll waste this much time with you and that's it.

Have a nice day.
