OK, call me weird, but I find it interesting... It is all coming back to me now, been in the dark caverns of my mind for many years... I guess this goes back to my pre-flying days as an Aeronautical Engineering student...
 
That's pretty cool. This is something I've never thought about before.

And to think that the variance of weight of fuel in the GV due to density is higher than the gross weight of the airplanes I fly!
 
3000# is approximately 1+30 holding at 10,000 in the GV. We never planned on landing with less than that.

Two things I never worried about in the GV... 1)Fuel, and 2)Climb Performance
