i heard a story that over 300 servicemen and women in Iraq have been executed for various reasons, mental illnesses, speaking out against the war, etc. and the people coming back while the GOP has cut VA funding are in for a horrible surprise as well. food for thought

That wouldnt surprise me at all.The way that the US goverment works, the scandal abuse against innocent Iraqis, make you wonder....

The VA has not received any cuts in funding where I'm at. In fact, my physician at the local VA says that she's amazed at the amount of the GI's returning from Iraq who don't take advantage of the benefits available to them. The only surprise to me once getting back in-country was how well I was treated by the VA. Keep dreaming.:erm:

He probably came back from Iraq all mess up. You can thanxs the current administration for that. I fell sorry for those poor SOB's....

Not every nut case who once fought in the war is a nut case because of the war!!! Stop using that as an excuse!!! I know lots soldiers who killed lots of dudes, watched plenty of their bro's get killed, and they still managed to integrate themselves back into a normal life without cracking up!!!

And as far as thanking the current administration...most of us are more than are eager to get back to the fight and honorably serve our President and nation...so Im sure he'd appreciate your thanks!

Also, most of the military could care less about the negative opinions of the civilian population and/or media. The whole "support the troops" campaign is nice, but my decision to serve is not dependent upon your opinions or support. The only opinions we care about is our brothers and our own!!!

Harry , but not everybody does so back off,Some do well some don't and untill you have its best to just let it be. Some of the best guys in combat just reach a point..you never know if it will be you..

Im not saying good folks don't break...not at all. Break or not, the boys on the ground are, and will always be, my heroes. I'm just sick and tired of the left generalizing that "oh, it must because of the war" syndrome. Im fourth generation military and I know firsthand, perhaps you do as well, how a war can affect a person. The point I want to make is that when you reach that breaking point, most still no the difference between right and wrong...and if they don't, then I argue that a large part of their disorder was present prior to the stress of war, and perhaps only magnified as a result.

H S, Nothing personal but I think most Head Dr's wouldn't agree with the last part of your statement...
