I like to consider the Sheeringa period an interlude of tyranny between Ricci's first and second campaigns of terror.


I get it. But the fact remains: if not for that interlude of Sheeringa tyranny, the IBT would not be representing FlOps pilots today
 
Pure speculation. You can tell pilots that they will be the best paid in the industry, but after so many years, you begin to think you were mislead.

Sheeringa was Kenn's henchman who RIF'ed his "most expensive employees" (people with expensive illnesses or had family members with expensive illnesses and strong union supporters who were forcing management to comply with regulations they had flouted from the beginning of his first reign of terror). Kenn was an owner and member of the Board of Directors of FLOPS when these pilots were fired. If it weren't for the Teamsters, those pilots wouldn't have been brought back and made whole. Kenn did not want them back but knew it was the only way that he could save his company after he and his cronies were made to realize that they had made a huge mistake.

Essentially, when Sheeringa's job was played out, Kenn gave him a pat on the butt, said "Nice game" and sent him on his way to Signature with a letter of recommendation.
