Well I just got off the phone with them
1-877-359-4853

They have closed the flight training school but the 1st officer program is still running. Might as well keep it if your getting free pilots outta the deal. Or should I say Pilots that are willing to pay for a seat?

The students have the option of switching to a list of "selected" schools and have their money transferred or.....

Anyway. Best of luck to all the students there... hope this dosnt turn into another ATA.

That figures. Their buy-a-seat program (now once again duplicating itself all over the regionals) has got to be a cash cow. I can't figure why they'd close their legit flight school, though. Wierd ...

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I believe one of their 172's was involved in a mid-air about 2 weeks ago off the coast near FLL. 5 fatalities.....

Have you even heard the options they are giving their students who still have money in the flightschool? If anything, the students are getting an awesome deal. The students have the option to either get their money back and go to another flightschool of their choice or go to a flightschool that Gulfstream approves of which the students will finish their ratings cheaper than what they would have at Gulfstream. Either way, it's much better than what the students of ATA got. The Williams family are rapist pigs!!!

So, they now just take guys with their CMEL-I and their $, but won't train them up to their CMEL-I anymore?

More CFI's on the street, looking for jobs. As if the CFI market weren't squeezed enough. I wonder how many of their former CFI's go over to the FO program now?

-Boo!

I wonder if they would charge their former CFI's the same as joe blow off the street?

If they are helping out their student load like that.

Assets

They had a good many assets tied up in the primary flight school and were moving to downsize it anyway. The accident just was a thing that hastened the process.

As the airline has grown and their F/O program, they did not really need to be in this end of the business and have a bunch of primary trainers.
