Anyone want to check in here after working for GTA? They got my career started and I tried to go back to fly for them after a lay off and only lasted three weeks. Now I am flying a G2 and a King Air for a billionaire. I worked for GTa a full year 2000-2001. The gave me a 1500 going away check. Thanks GTA for my 2nd thousand hours.

Flew the Bonanza and Baron for Doug and Bonnie from 10/98 thru 10/99. Pay was horrible but if you went in taking it for what it was worth - strictly a time-building stepping stone, then you were miles ahead of everyone else. Surprised they've lasted as long as they have.

I must have just missed you, I started 12/99.
PAX, AMerican eagle assistant chief pilot, maricio, frenchie, some of the guys I remember

When who bent up the baron? PM if necessary.

I was there from 2000-2001, went to Ameristar for a couple years, flew Hawker's & a Kingair 300 for a corporation in East TX until a couple years ago, and went to USA 3000 on the A320 where I'm now furloughed.

N303js

I loved that airplane. I flew for Doug & Bonnie in the summer of 95
out of NM, 'till Circus Air took the contract. Back then GTA was a
great deal and they treated me well, I remember Doug being a hand-
shake is a handshake type of guy.................How are they doing
now?

last I heard they were just hanging on. Still making it but not the biz it used to be.

When he bent up Bourland's Baron as an MEI, I thought his days were over.

Didn't he do the same with one of D&B's planes? I hear he's a nurse now.

Yeah, he's a nurse. Doing good as well. Just talked to him the other day. I never worked for GTA, but flew over at Circusair for 6 month. It was my student he flew with that day so I can go to an interview.

Cheers

Holy CRAP.

There you are!

How's things?

RC is still a wanker.

Glad P is doing well as a nurse. My god, he knew the regs like a red-arsed bandit. Unreal.

EG is driving a Hawker in DFW, doing well, married well, and is awesome.

YOU. Yoooouuu.... miss you around here. I'll be downgrading in Sep/Nov time frame.

So, the suck continues at the Pee Dee Tee.

***BTW: Is Bart still at EasyJet? And was it the PDT interview?

schweeeeeet...2001-2003 here!

...they are up in addison after a brief stint in lancaster. they are married to beaver air now and the older gentleman who worked the telesis desk is involved in some fashion.

  • bonnie, doug and kids run the show
  • roger officially retired
  • dennis is long gone
  • whats-his-name moved up to DOM
  • scott is gone
  • that goofy little mechanic is still there (the short one, lol)
the old hanger on love has been buried and paved over for some time now.

...and 31DB is still flyin!

Lets see the tail numbers I remember, N361BC, N5421M, 303JS, N31DB, 109W.
Thats all I can remember, now check out this:
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinq...GTA&sort_option=5&cmndfind.x=15&cmndfind.y=15

hafta dig out my old logbook but 40V was a fav. 77W and 80Q as well. tryin to remember the Vtail numbers...lol

...musta been previous to the buy-out of JetProp Express then ;)

I flew In Year 2000.I now fly a CL 605 In Africa.I remember Abhi bhoyar. He died In a Lear crash. Also Pony who I think now flies a A320 for Kingfisher.I remember this dude from Guyana,he used to drive his rice rocket to work. The Dispatcher(long haired dude always getting laid with chicks online).I hated the Monroe run. Also Paxten lines (SP?) one of the brightest guy's I know.

I worked there in 2005 for seven months and i absolutely hated the Monroe run. favorite plane was 69R for some reason it was always faster than the others.

Never flew for them, but I know someone that was there 2007/2008. He left for personal reasons but the company lost most of their runs to airnet. Last I heard they were down to 2 o 3 pilots. My buddy says that they may not be in business by the end of the year.

When I was there during 98/99, they only had one V-tail, N1710W.

Yea I remember Paxton, he gave me my company ground school, then kicked me outta bed at 0400, (how was I supposed to know that was his bed?) Did Abhi fly for cherry air? I think I flew with him at GTA.

He flew at Ameristar

My buddy says that they may not be in business by the end of the year.

lol...if i hd a dollar for every time ive heard that over the years, but somehow they keep rollin on :smash:

...and im pretty sure that EVERYONE hated the monroe run ;)

as for the lear thingy, wasnt lisa on that aircraft as well...she was a GTA pilot also.

edit for the tail number of the lear...666TW
