look here you yahoos. one more time. i am NOT advocating one over the other. they are all on the same level. 1000 a month sucks, but in as little as a few weeks, you can be in the twins flying for the same amount of money as all the other operators in DFW.

if someone were to come on here slamming any of the other three as being better or worse than the rest, i would be posting the same way. i ought to know, i have personally worked for all four of them in one capacity or another, be it directly, as a contract pilot, or simply covering a route for one of them becasue all their dam planes were flying, broke, or gounded by the FAA.

...have a nice day :)

Hurt my feelings? Not hardly. You didn't call me on it, just tried to duck the issue by shifting focus to my vocabulary...your arguments are weak, so you pull the tactic of all poor conversationalists, and change the subject.

So, you've worked for all four, now I see why you're so defensive. Can't do any better than flying for GTA, so you feel like a slam at one is a slam at you? Sucks to be you, man if you weren't smart enough to learn your lesson with one sh*tty operator, then no wonder you're the "expert".

Not only are you a tool, but you're a tool for a suck a** company. What a loser.

Duderino and I will mix you up some more Kool-Aid, and then it's naptime, ok?

You suck wingnutt. Why don't you go pop some back pills and avoid your wife. You are a miserable old man, with 854 post at flightinfo. You are critizing other peoples profile, when you won't even let people know what you do now. Current position should read under Doug's Scrodum. You are the kind of sarcastic douchepump that acts arrogant, that can't even fly. I have met your type. Stick to your "King Air Rating" and go f yourself.
Hell yeah! Amen brother! He's prolly CP with one of the operators, feeling all god-like cause he reigns supreme over POS a/c, and a bunch of kids who haven't had anyone tell them any different. I bet he even thinks he's doing some newhire a "favor" giving them such a great "stepping stone" like GTA. Gimme a break

p*ssies use terms like "issues" :p

You're still a corporate tool...anyone with half a brain can see it, including me. HA!

Hey! Why all the fuss guys? Let me briefly tell you my story and you decide for yourself....In the late 90's, after instructing almost 800 hrs I had 1300 total and could not even get a regional to look at me. A friend of mine got on at GTA and put in a good word for me. I was hired and they agreed to give me $1500.00 a month if I would do a little maintenance work on the side. I did a lot of maintenance at first and then after a few months not much. Yes, Doug and Bonnie are tough sometimes to deal with, but if you show up on time and do your job you won't hear much from them. Yes, the money was low but you have to realize that on a Bonanza, Baron, or 402 the profit margin for flying checks is small. I had friends at the other two companies there at Love Field also, and they complained about their aircraft and pay as well. I would never accept an aircraft that I felt was unsafe. During the 18 months that I was there, our maintenance was pretty good.
Looking back, after flying in all weather day and night, it was the toughest flying job I ever had. It also taught me more about flying and being a commercial pilot that any other place, before or since, for that I am greatful. There is no substitute for experience. I know many of the pilots (guys and gals) that flew there have gone on to fly for the majors, nationals and regionals....You'll need that experience someday when your flying in the dark of night with a full load passengers above the snow-capped Western Montana mountains when the weather is low and your first officer points out an electrical problem or that the deice system does not appear to be working or one of many other problems that could test your skills.........Ah memories........sorry for the book!.....Thanks for listening and Have a Merry CHRISTmas!

welcome supercrew, sounds like you and i had identical experiences.

and oh yea...lookout pilot guy, he must be another corporate stooge!!! :p

GTA French Cap ee tin?

Many moons ago I remember one memorable flight on GTA while hitching a ride from HOU to DAL that was hard to forget. A French captain (forget his name but could never forget the accent) was nice enough to let me ride a long since I needed to get into Dallas for a meeting early the next morning. If only I knew what I was in for, should have been a red flag when he mentioned a few mx stories about a couple abnormal and emergency situations that got him during his time at GTA. To make a long story short I knew I was in for somewhat of an eventful ride when he lit up a smoke on taxi out and was still working on the weight and balance papers as we we're cleared into position and rolled onto 12R at HOU. I don't think I ever laughed as hard as I did that night, the sad thing is that this situation probably should not have been viewed as overly comical and could have possibly turned into a disaster.:D I wish I could remember this dude's name, anyone know if this particular French captain is still among the ranks at GTA present day?. Funny guy, chain smoker, and someone who is hard to forget!.
