I want to get out of northern NY to do my CFI, is there any where in the carolinas or florida that anyone would suggest? Of course I will have my writtens done, and would like to spend only a week, two max doing this. If the price is right, I would also do my CFII and MEI there too.

Thanks

Not the rush, just don't want to take it with the local FSDO, and I want to get away for a bit. I don't plan on going until I have all the studying done...

From personal experience/hindsite. 15 years ago, when I was a CFI I wish I would have done it from Law School.

sheble aviation in kingman arizona. Its a short drive to vegas and other gambling towns. about 7000 for cfi cfii I think. It took me about a week and a half to get both but they expect you to come in having studied already. There was a guy there when I went that didn't study and it took him several weeks and 3 yes 3 checkrides all with DE's not the FSDO. Anyways fun place with a really good people and lodging included.

If you have all your ducks in a row, and if you are prepared to self-study. ATP is the best deal around. Mine took around 2 weeks for CFI, CFII, MEI in Florida in JAX (CRG) <$3500

I did mine at Sheble's. I'd go there or ATP. I think you get more twin time at ATP, no reason to pay for single time at this point.

If you care about being a good CFI, then it really doesn't matter where you did your rating.

Why the rush?

Really learn to become a CFI..not just pass a checkride.

There are people out there that study and learn before taking the quickie courses.

Just because you can prepare for a checkride in 2 weeks doesn't mean you don't study and know your stuff.

Give Val a call at Sheble's, many times they will do your II and MEI both in the ol' trusty BE95 Travelair, getting you more twin time. They have closed the Vegas office though, so you will be in IGM instead.
