Anyone else hear this or is it just a lot of wishful thinking??
i fly boxes said:Sure they will get excited because they are all getting paid well. Whoooo hoooo! We here at Mesaba are going to get some of Pinnacle's Airplanes! Hell we might even get a CRJ 700!!!!! But guess what, its only going to bring them back to the original number of aircraft they had with the avro. The pilots will be paid LESS than Pinnacles pilots as well. That is pretty hard to do. And in all this celebration, Pilots at pinnacle who have put up with crap pay and work rules are now going to be let go.
WMUSIGPI said:I don't care if they get 1000 CRJ's. I'm not coming back for those insultingly low proposed wages, PERIOD.
Not 1 Cent!!
i fly boxes said:oh and one other thing, and none of this is directed at you or mesaba pilots by the way, I hope the best for you and Pinnacle pilots, but there were rumors for the longest time that pinnacle execs were down in the E170 sims and that there was a E170 on the property in MEM, and none of that will amount to anything either.
That's my bet, pretty much right on the money. MSA is probably keeping training ramped up because their execs already know (or strongly suspect) that at least 20 or 30 of our aircraft are coming over to MSA property.i fly boxes said:Sure they will get excited because they are all getting paid well. I'd say the same thing about the unemployment line. Been there, done that.It is amazing what two Jet engines can do to someone's pride.
i fly boxes said:If NWA intends to give Mesaba CRJs, do you really think that they are going to give them new ones when they are parking pinnacle's? Hell no they aren't. That is why I stand firm with this prediction.
i fly boxes said:Mesaba will get a CRJ for every Avro and Saab they park, and they will fly them for crap pay.
i fly boxes said:They also might have the same thing happen to them as Air Wisconson and they might be told to start packing and looking for a new airline, but i don't think that will happen becuase NWA owns part of pinnacle.
i fly boxes said:by the way, I don't fly cargo, I work for NWA in some way shape or form, and I am not posting any bait at all, think about it.......... If NWA intends to give Mesaba CRJs, do you really think that they are going to give them new ones when they are parking pinnacle's? Hell no they aren't. That is why I stand firm with this prediction. Mesaba will get a CRJ for every Avro and Saab they park, and they will fly them for crap pay. They also might get 50 or so 70 seats. As far as Pinnacle goes, they will lose those Crjs to Mesaba and either one of three things will happen, they will maybe get lucky and have those crj's replaced with 70 seats, but it is doubtful. They also might have the same thing happen to them as Air Wisconson and they might be told to start packing and looking for a new airline, but i don't think that will happen becuase NWA owns part of pinnacle. Third, Pinnacle loses those 20 to 30 and stays right there at that size. What ever the case, every pilot at mesaba and pinnacle will be supporting NWA in a couple weeks with a strike so we can all enjoy some time off together in honor of a good cause.

Oddly enough they started it back up.

I still won't fly one for the poverty level wages XJ is offering... even if it is new and shiny!
Not a penny.
