Bye Bye---General Lee

Sez the guy who looks like Butterbean, with a skin condition, and has a latex blow up playmate. Not even gonna guess on your orientation, but my guess you have a fetish for the larger farm animals....

He calls her, "mom."

It is amazing that the exchanges between my 14 year old and his friends are a lot more mature than the posts of some so called "professionals" on this site.
I suggest to some of the most prolific posters on FI that you show some of your threads to people in your life, your wife, parents, close friends, hopefully they will have enough interest in you to tell you how you come across, because it is shameful really.

There is a specific group here that will do anything not to debate. They throw out the stupid slams and add clutter. PBR, Scoot, Mercy, and Freebrd haven't added a post with substance yet. I do return the slams, but only in defense. I will try to turn that down, we'll see.

Bye Bye---General Lee

For those interested in Emirates, I can say my experience is nothing like the article.

Contrary to what Sniper and General Lee may say. General Lee and Sniper have never been to the Middle East.

in comparison to the willow run operator that you worked before?

sure thats a no brainer

Folks lets be real

the only reasons people go to ME airlines is because they cant get hired at majors back home and have dreams of flying big aircraft...

RJ drivers , ********************ty cargo operator pilots and pilots with some skeletons in their closet going to ME airlines.

PS
Arnie please dont hire pilots who are bad mouthing the company every day.

Some anecdotal evidence on the Qatar front. Several years ago, we had not one but TWO A340 Captains from Qatar that joined here at CX as Second Officers. That is how deplorable the working conditions are. EK is better, but even with the pollution and the crowds, I will be happy to stay with CX!!

As is true with any absolute statement like the above there are numerous examples to point to the fallacy of the argument.

There are no less than 100 former major airline pilots at the Middle East airlines. Many were captains at their respective major, in some cases very senior captains. Another large group were furloughed major airline pilots.

Absolutely....., many furloughed pilots from the majors on the international market, not only in the ME but Asia as well. I know of several guys (from delta actually) that took early retirement and went to fly on the international market and I get Inquiries from current pilots at the majors seriously considering it all the time.

I'm not by any means suggesting that the expat market is an alternative, but for some individuals it works quite well because of their age, stage in life they find themselves in, a sense of experiencing another culture and living an exotic lifestyle with their wives.

I know there is a "call to arms" against the ME carriers, but to say that the only individuals that are hired are people with shady backgrounds is just plain ignorant.
