Hey..

Gotta question for yall.....

Is it true that "GO-JETS" are hiring street captains. Not that I'm interested in going there, cause I'm not. I've got my reasons besides having a good job.
But I have a friend that just got hired there. He's known amonst his peers as a Bulls..itter. Likes to exaggerate a bit and paint a rosier picture.
He's telling us all that he is already in captain class and he started there only a week ago.

Any truth to what this guy is saying????

Thx.

Tell your friend to enjoy his career there as he will be marked a scab for life.

Good luck.

Baja.

Honestly, I think this smear campaign against the GJ pilots is ruining their bargaining position for the current negotiations.

The TSA pilots probably should have voted in the TA for one pilot list instead of voting it down. After the NMB ruling separating the companies, they will never get 70-seat flying unless they drop their codeshare with American.

unless you work for tsa you can't speak of what they should/should not have done.. AS of this moment tsa mgmt has never complied with the contract that THEY SIGNED to begin with. They signed the contract that said any new flying will be done by tsa pilots.. if anyone is to blame then it is alpa and sadly enough the tsa pilots greed in the past years. I know.. I was a tsa'er. Without going into too many details on a public website, anyone in the industry knows that tsa had the best ontime performace.. hmmmmmm... you can figure that one out.. That meant more money for the pilots and also a nice pat on the back from mainline.. tsa mgmt was offered more flying because of tsa pilots hard work...and greed...
Then there was/is alpa.. Duane "worthless" He wanted tsa pilots to pass the vote for making scabjet flying tsa flying.. when the pilots spoke out and said no, duane slithered away into his 24k goldplated office and left tsa for dead..
Oh, and don't forget how he came out to st. louis and gave this big heartfelt battle speech and then ran away.. After that, things only grew worse.. Ask anyone who was scheduled for a deadhead on their last day and was told "sorry, your company only lists you positive space when they need you somewhere. home is not considered important. I know you were positive space last week but oh well"..
My point? Pilots in general need to stand up for once and show mgmt that they will not be pushed around.. That is why I am happy that northwest and delta are taking a stance. What good is this profession if we make less that a walmart bagger?

They WERE hiring street captains right when they started up. A couple month window. Wether they still are, I don't know.

I can say whatever I want.

Everyone else does and say whatever they want on this board right or wrong, truthfull or untruthfull. Just look around you. Blaming everyone else but themselves.

I do not know what the TSA contract said but obviously they had to negotiate for the flying and the TSA MEC was unsuccessful at first. When they did negotiate the pay and the "one" seniority list the pilot group turned it down. I am sure ALPA knew they were going to lose the single carrier request to the NMB and that is why they left.

I stand by me statements. I don't think this smear campaign will help their negotiating stance with the company and it is not good for any individual, group of individuals to participate in any illegal activity because they think they were "right".

adios...

Here we go again.....

Panama, you are so completely, utterly and wholly ignorant of what took place at TSA that your post really doesn't deserve a response. I urge you to find a TSA pilot or two and TALK to them and find out what took place. I don't know where you get your suppositions and it would take much more time and energy to try and explain it here than I am willing to expend.

As for a "smear campaign" adversely affecting the current negotiations? If I thought that the management gave a rats a$$ about us OR the gayjet pilots I might agree with you. Here's some news; management does not care about the personal lives, feelings, or egos of the whojetters. As long as they get that shiny jet from point A to B on time for pennies and don't act up, they could care less what the rest of the industry thinks or says about them.

No, there was NO negotiating, it was a take it or leave it situation from the company to the pilots.

I am sure ALPA knew they were going to lose the single carrier request to the NMB and that is why they left.
ALPA did warn the pilot group that the NMB single carrier petition has only been won once or twice in the last 30 years. The tone from national was to take the deal, but they didn't just leave, they have stuck around and on the last Q&A phone session reiterated that they warned us about this.

I don't see any "illegal" actions being taken by any TSA pilot. Free speach isn't a smear campaign. I mean what the heck is this Russia?

Too bad. They made their bed, they can now sleep in it. I'm proud to now do what ever I can (which ain't much) to make their careers miserable.

Hasta La Taco
