Hate me if ya want. I will give you a ride unless you have one of those "alter-ego" stickers..then we will talk in the jet bridge and I will show you my "alter-Eagle" sticker. OH NO! Not a TALK in the JET BRIDGE! Oh I forgot who I'm talking to, the guy who always wants to go out to the playground at high noon or whatever weird school-age references you always use. I've got 2 of those alter ego stickers on my bag and every time someone asks me about them, I tell them. I'd never stoop to riding on you POSs anyway...I don't commute anymore, but I'd rather sleep in the airport that get home on a Lindberger.

Gojet is not the problem

CX880, let me ask you this. What is the problem.

Anytime ANY company starts a new company to get around a contract or to pay lower wages, there is a problem.

Mind you, GoJet was created AFTER the company came to the union to renegoiate the payscales for these new aircraft. Had the union allowed the CBA to be renegoiated without the consent of the pilot group, people would have screamed bloddy murder.

After the union stood fast at "industry average minus the highest and lowest payscale for new, larger aircraft" did the company come up with the idea of an entirely new and different pilot group and seniority.

I wasn't around then but TSA pilots said no, didn't think about the fact that Gojet was going to be formed anyways

I was and I did. I voted NO and EXPECTED my company to negoiate a fair and just LOA. Not a 4 year extension to an already 6 year contract. No to 90 seat payscales. No to furlough protection for initial GoJet pilots.
It was the hard work of every TSA pilot that even allowed the GoJet/70 issue to be a reality at TSA. I expected to be rewarded for my efforts. I was not.

It seems you are a Waterskier.. can I ask why you didn't go to Gateway/Lindburgh?

As someone said in the other posts we're all going to end up at someplace better than the regional anyways if we so choose

My last question is what makes a place better?
I made the jump to a good strong Legacy but guess what, it takes the "pilots" to make it better. It takes "pilots" to form a strong union and to make sure management doesn't outsource our jobs for cheaper labour.

I will vote NO on my next contract if we give any scope relief to my current management team. Any 70 seat or greater jet needs to be flown by Mainline pilots. I am taking exception to the Q400's being flown by a regional feeder as it's a niche market.

I don't own the Jumpseat anymore, but when I do someday, I will never forget those 'GoJetters'

I lost mine...I desperately need to find another one!!!

Just do what I did...find a pilot with a "sticker" and tell them they aren't getting a ride till they peel it off and put it in my hand.. I have two of them on my bag.....still looking for a third though.

TSA can thank their worthless MEC and ALPA for GOJet!!!! Your MEC agreed to fly the 70 seaters but uh oh they didnt read the fine print till 5 days later and saw language that said any larger A/C would be flown at the same rate and then turned down the offer. Thats why GoJet was created!!!!

As a commuter and having worked as a jumpseat coordinator, I understand the difficulty these days that pilots have going back and forth to work and I hate to leave anyone behind. For these reasons, I follow the ALPA Jumpseat Policy to keep politics out of the jumpseat and focus it at the negotiating table where these issues should be worked out. [/SIZE][/FONT]


[SIZE=2][FONT=Times New Roman, serif]I heard an interesting story the other day from a jumpseater. There is an airline that will not let Gojet jumpseat. So, this pilot of this particular airline gets the jumpseat and goes down the ramp to introduce himself. He was told that they don't have an agreement and he can't ride. "Oh, I thought this was "xyz" airline not Gojet", so he excuses himself and goes back up the ramp to give up the jumpseat. While waiting in the passenger area for the next flight, a TSA pilot comes along, signs up for the jumpseat on Gojet and proceeds to his destination. Now the pilot that gave up the jumpseat is sitting there wondering: “ WTF-OVER!”[/FONT][/SIZE]

[SIZE=2][FONT=Times New Roman, serif]"Why am I giving up a ride home for this "fight against Gojet" when the TSA Pilot(s) are not refusing to ride on them". [/FONT][/SIZE]

[SIZE=2][FONT=Times New Roman, serif]He immediately went to his union leadership to have the policy changed.[/FONT][/SIZE]

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif][SIZE=2]Rather than trying to divide the pilot groups (and I am talking about all pilot groups) the union leaderships should be working together to improve conditions and not destroy one another. These actions and policies by individuals and individual unions takes the focus off of management where it really belongs.[/SIZE][/FONT]
