I propose we all edit our profiles and change our custom user tags until the General is released.

Moderators, the people are speaking.

"See, it's inflammatory comments like that... "commuter"?....Blah, blah, blah

And then hypocrisy rears it's ugly head.

"You and all of the other Widgetheads on the ALPA board have been bashing RJs for years and I'm sick of it.

And let's not forget the juvenile threat/promise.

"I CAN make you go away. Consider it during your week off for flambait."

Wow, you must be somebody important. How Brokeback can you get IFLY. Lighten up Francis. So what if you're a commuter dude. What's wrong with that? I guess I'll probably be next.

If there is any truth to this, I think it is that IFLY, the "commuter dude" needs to take a break. For his own health. I mean come on, is the term "commuter" really that inflamatory? A person must be pretty thin skinned and have a fragile sense of self to be so put out with the term "commuter".

The General is upbeat and positive about this profession and his airline. Good for him. It's too bad a simple term like "commuter" is too much for the weak at heart to handle.

I have seen far worse and those people weren't banned... I guess you need to know which topics to avoid to appease the all-powerful moderators...

Lesson learned - never mention the word "commuter" again...

Commuter, commuter, commuter.

Its ironic the most intelligent person on this websites gets banned. Well he should go to PPrune.org were he will be respected for his insights.

FREE GENERAL LEE!!! And bring back Stonewall from the dead. He rocked.

Seriously...let my people go! Free the General!

You gotta be kidding me!!

Just logged in after a week or so.....cannot believe someone got banned for using the word commuter when speaking about an airline!!!!!!

No wonder the industry is in such a mess, some tool is worried more about what he/she is called rather than addressing important issues like pay and QOL.

I flew for a commuter, and a major, and a major commuter (aka regional) and a freight airline (aka trash hauler, plus many names not suitable for sensitive ears!) Corporate jobs, corporate crapholes, micro jets, mini huffers, flufs, dorks, sewerpipes, flying schoolbus, and just plain peices of junk along with some nice equipment too..............BUT I NEVER GOT MAD ABOUT BEING CALLED A COMMUTER or any other thing!

Somebody needs an education on what is really important in this career......and it sure isn't being called a commuter!!!!!!

I can vouch for one thing though, I have never worked at an airline that would tolerate someone that has issues about things like this, if HR didn't weed them out in the interview procees, or training department let them slip through, the rank and file line pilot would "retrain" their thinking....either that or they sart to appear on everybodies no fly list!!

If you have some huge ego that needs to be stroked, do not bother flying with me, If I find out you are one of those people I will annoy you on purpose!

There is no room in our battered industry for such crap!

I guess I wil be next on the banned list huh?

Looks to me like he is back on the shootin' line, boys.

Well done. Can't wait to hear from IFLY Napoleon...or did he have to go to bed without any supper?

I don't follow you. Care to elaborate?

The angry masses have spoken & the moderators responded. The General has been let out w/out bail & on own recognizance.

Thanks for stepping in.
Actually I released General Lee from the ban... There was no reason posted on the (internal) ban list for the ban (which is strictly against Moderator rules, the Websitemaster wants a reason listed ALL the time)... Upon further investigation it appears it was an unwarranted ban...

Now if all you "Commuter Pilots" can relax and get back to business complainin' about pay, work rules, QoL and stuff, I'll get back to finding good BBQ...

Welcome back General...

Thanks FC!!!

Can we complain about pay, work rules, and QOL while trying to find good BBQ?

General must have contacted his union rep...

You may and you're welcome...

So where is he? I would think he would be hovering above the keyboard flexing his fingers ready to come out with guns blazing!

Good job, FC. Any possibility of getting IFLY banned for a few days to teach him a lesson, or maybe even removing his MOD status? He obviously doesn't have the proper attitude for the job.

Oh yeah, almost forgot:

I fly a "barbie-jet" for a "commuter!!!!" Hear that, IFLY?!? Commuter, commuter, commuter!!!

No reason given because presumably none existed.

Whoever complained about it being a bad precedent in resenting the moderators' input: huge difference here! In case you haven't noticed, no other ban has ever been questioned by anybody with the exception of the few imposed by IFLY.

Thanks, Falcon Captain.

Greatest thread ever. Who said the part about "being taped to the goal post"? Laughing hysterically!
