Anyone know who has a G450 with a star on the tail (looks like the star on the Dallas Cowboy's helmets)? It had a short "N" number like N10C. It was on the Signature ramp.

Just wondering.TC

P.S.--No cracks about A.net like I would make, please... ;)

I think Jerry Jones is riding around in a G-4Something N1DC

Above is the FAA Registration Info for N1DC (a GV).

I met those guys on the road once. jerry's guys. They were in a 4 at the time.

Apu and plane looked like a regional jet. I'd never seen exhaust streaks on an apu but this one was black as can be. The inside was trashed and the pilots were exhausted. Their owner was supposed to show up the night before and they had been sleeping in the plane the whole night and into midmorning when i saw them.

Poor guys were telling me stories that i couldn't believe. Trips from europe to TX and then sit around all day and then do a dinner trip that night. They used a lot of contract guys.

Felt bad for them. Looked like they had a long night.

The NFL Combines were in town this week. That would be it. Thanks. TC

The NFL combine was in Indy last weekend. Cowboy's medical and training staff would have been there. It is when they evaluate college guys going to the pros. No work outs, just checking their knees, shoulders, and whatever else they have hurt along the way.

I took a Chicago Bears doctor down there this weekend. We went into EYE to avoid the rat race. There is a follow up in two weeks. Probably see the same jet there again.

I've heard horror stories about guys flying for Jones. One crew landed in SFO quit and took the airlines home.

One of their pilot's wrote a sort of "tell all" book about flying for them several years ago. Came across it in a book store in Fort Worth. Can't remember the name anymore but I'm sure he's a hated individual now.

Could it be the same guys as LXJ31's "Flight from He!!" thread?

These poor guys were exhausted. They were litterally sitting there since the night before with the apu running. The pax were supposed to be there at 1700 and still hadn't shown up since 1000am. They were expected to be ready to go when the boss showed though. They said it was common for this to happen.

Just another reason why I hate the crybows and Jerry (Star) Jones

Not trying to be a smart ___, but it is not real hard work sitting on a couch or in the back of a Gulfstream. I suppose it is a little different in a 91 operation where there is not regulation protection. 17 hours is a long time to sit around though. I think I would make it clear one way or another that these kind of situations would not be tolerated. After a couple of times, I would just go check into the nearest hotel. If he shows up, who is going to fly him home. After once or twice he would get the picture. Besides, I don't need a "careless and reckless" violation because of this clown. You know these guys would get one too when the facts came out if they plowed it in after take-off cause they hit some birds or something.

That is why I like boxes, they don't complain and I don't need a "thank you".

The problem with sitting on the couch for 17 hours in a G5 is that these people don't typically want to fly for an hour. They don't buy 6000+ mile range aircraft to do MIA-APF. Nothing sux worse then sitting for 17 hours then having to fly for 13+ only to talk to some foreign controller on the back side of the clock in the middle of who knows where. Been there done that. No thanks.

Sitting around on the FBO couch is NOT rest, nor is it even close to being so...

I am sure a few pilots have made it clear one way or the other that those situations would not be tolerated. Unfortunately, it sounds like there is no shortage of folks willing to fly the G for this wad until they get something better. He obviously knows it , as well. I would imagine the pay may leave a little to be desired. If history shows, crap schedules usually accompany crap wages.

I'll get right on that DH. Thanks for pointing that out.

Many posts, sorry, obviously that is what it looks like when you post just as your high speed connection is going down.

It's not manual labor either.

If i wanted a manual labor job I would have worn a hard hat. Of course it isn't manual labor but you obviously feel above the whole rest/duty issue.

I've done my share of sitting around fbo's instead of paying for the hotel room. Guess what sitting around an FBO isn't rest. It's a pain in the ass. Especially with the NetJeters talking about the contract. :)
