JAL out in CA is looking for instructors on their Bonanzas...I believe they start around $40k/yr.

CFI Position Overview:
  • Minimum requirements: FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Single Engine, Multi-Engine and Instrument, FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate – Single Engine, Multi-Engine, and Instrument; must have logged a minimum of 1,000 hours of total flight time, 300 hours of multi-engine. 500 hours dual given, 100 hours multi-engine dual given. Dual given time requirements may be waived depending on instructor’s background and experience. Must possess current FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate.
  • Part 91 operation – flight training for Japan Airlines “ab initio” program.
  • Pay scale currently starts at $48K and ends at $74K in ten years (reviewed periodically).

  • Full-time flight instruction position (Monday – Friday).
  • Exempt status under the “professional exemption” of California Wage and Hour Law.
  • This position does not build flight hours quickly.
  • General aviation background preferred.
